erm not sure if its applicable here, but peeps over in the australia will stand to benefit from oroton's "everything half price off" and it will end tomorrow.
oroton also owns the rights to sell polo ralph lauren over here. hence it is applicable to RL as well.
bear in mind that this australia and not malaysia. they don't deliberately keep their good "stuff" away in the store, leaving only skanky items.
hence everything that you see in the store, is half price off. even better, if the item has previously been reduced before, half price for that as well.

QUOTE(jind86 @ May 16 2009, 11:03 PM) my friend is in australia but i cant think of what to ask him to buy, any really good deals/stuff there which i shouldnt miss out on? erm anything that you think of literally. as stated above, whatever that you see on the price tag, divide the figure by 2! oh i have to add something though; formally you will need an invitation postcard to be eligible for the sale. but i have been to three different RL stores and no one actually asked for the card (even though i have it in my bag). well three possibilities for this scenario; either my acting is convincing, i was lucky or they simply don't care? i only took this picture (for a friend) as i found this piece to be quite unique. observe the "additional" printing below the seam of the collar. it is very unconventional of RL IMHO. approximately AUD52 after the rebate. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by nokia2003: May 16 2009, 11:36 PM

hmmm, without the sale, the price over here is analogous to the local one to be honest.
but recession has hit australia pretty hard and it is not surprising to see retailers offering rebates and sales consistently.
to substantiate my point, i have only arrived here since mid february, RL alone has already offered more than ten sale periods...
and another great reason to shop in australia is, everyone (including students) is eligible to claim the 10% GST rebate.
i was here last january (with a friend) for leisure and you can imagine how crazy he went when the exchange rate was trading at 2.25 coupled with the sale and added effect from the GST rebate...
