Sigh. I said I'm done with this thread, and I really did try to stay away from it. The following facepalm is directed at myself.

...but I'm going to reply in support of this because I think it's a point that everyone keeps missing.

There are things that are perfectly alright if given freely - but is not alright if it is demanded.

What Moorish has now - the life of a Stay-At-Home-Mom - is something her husband gave her freely. Which I can perfectly understand. If I made enough money to support my family, I would be more than glad to tell my wife to quit her job and take care of our kids full-time.

But if she were to demand it of me - if she were to tell me I must work hard and earn more money so she can stop working and stay at home all day, otherwise I'm little more than a bum - I would be very very unhappy with her. Regardless of whether or not I can afford it.

That's what the girls (and the battle lines are very much drawn between guys and girls on this thread) don't seem to understand. That which is given freely is cheapened if demanded or expected.

Moorish is saying, "Look at the wonderful life I have! Girls, you too can have it! Here's what you must do to get it."

She's wrong. You can't do anything to get it - not without becoming a gold-digging whore. You can only be so lucky as to have someone give it to you.

Moorish was lucky. That's all she is. And no, I don't think she's a gold-digging whore at all - she just doesn't realize how lucky she is.

Who knows? Maybe Moorish is actually a female impersonator.
