Hello everyone I have enough budget to buy either the Sharp 19 inch LCD TV or the Toshiba 19 inch LCD TV, but I don't know which is better. By your experience, education & etc. Please help me choose the right one.

all i can tell u that 19" LCD won't justify. why don't u buy an LCD monitor instead. I suggest u get a 24" Dell LCD from Dell's website as the price is cheaper compared to those TVs.

why pay more when u can get better resolution at cheaper price?

Yeah.. if you're gonna get something small and you don't actually need to watch TV. get a monitor instead.

That Toshiba looks better because the contrast ratio is higher and viewing angle is higher too.

Also it has more cables input than the Sharp one.

And both of these are far more expensive than regular 19" LCD . Isn't worth it .

Well I do have an extra HDMI cable with HDMI to DVI adapter, it should be able to connect to a pc monitor right? Also the Xbox 360 Standard AV [ Composite ] Cables I can use thier red & white cable as sound combining them with the Y-Splitter to connect to my speakers. It's possible right?

Get the Dell S2409W imo. it's like 700-something now, for a 24-incher, full HD reso some more.

Since I don't have a HDMI capable box, I'm not sure how the audio streams work ie. Does audio come out of the HDMI, or through the normal audio jacks as well.

HDMI cable carries both video and audio. yes both produce audio, but the thing is you can't plug both the hdmi cable and the xbox360 av cable at the same time. reason is that the av cable connector is kinda bulky which restricts the space for a hdmi cable to be connected. well..there are ways to overcome this, which is to spilt the av cable's connecter, cause it's just plastic anyway, that way the connecter will be much slimmer and you would have space to plug in the hdmi cable.
