QUOTE(adamcooper- @ Jun 1 2009, 03:43 AM) Hello,By looking at the price, a hori fighting stick 3 is quite expensive for the quality you're getting... it's around rm300+ correct me if i'm wrong... If you have the money to spend, a madcatz tourney edition is the best stick money can buy... But if you're on a budget, i would suggest you get a HRAP3 IF you can find a new one at a decent price... But if not, a madcatz sf4 stick arcade edition is still pretty good, it's built for easy modding so that if in the future u need to upgrade the stick and buttons, u can do it easily... Hope that helps... Added on June 1, 2009, 8:36 pm QUOTE(Kenishi @ Jun 1 2009, 04:54 PM) I'm looking for one too...Good luck to both of us... One thing i see no one mention is that since some of us here are using six button old ps2 joysticks on the ps3 playing street fighter 4, when playing online, we couldn't do any funny faces using the icons because with a 6 button joystick, there is no L2 and R2...
I juz got some hate mail that says I'm unfriendly... all because i could not do funny faces... haih... |

Since when u start using Sagat? Oh ya, Sagat!! The jump M.punch is so high-handed! i think tat is the strongest normal move in air. Seldom could have chance to play with wongbrother too since he's bz v in famous, come back come back...hehe I use who oso kena whack by you nice nice... the sagat middle punch in the air quite a priority... phyurix teach me wan... since i got my new ps3, all my gamesaves hilang, need to do everything back... of all the hard trials, i think cammy, zangief, rose, sagat, e.honda and ryu is the most simple coz those are the one's i've completed... |

QUOTE(Star_Scream @ Jun 8 2009, 09:11 AM) I m using MadzCat SE too and so far it works fine. Maybe the quick connect attached to the buttons in ur stick were loosen. open up and push it back and it should be fine. When i got the SE stick (since i've read alot about the loose washer problem and all)anyway, will be upgrading it wif seimitsu parts once they arrived The first thing i did was dismantle the joystick and glue the washer in place... And make sure all the QD are well and tight... Yet 2 hours later, blam!! Down left doesn't register, middle kick stop responding to presses unless I hit it really hard... Same like you, I'm waiting for the seimitsu parts as well... Well, back to my soul calibur 2 stick then... |

Wow...
Am I unlucky or am I unlucky? First, my ps3 went YLOD, then my Madcatz SE got problems wif middle kick and down/left. Finally got to mod it to all Sanwa parts with the help of my cousin frm Hong Kong. At last, all things good and ready to go, now my LCD TV is failing... Display colours have gone haywired, sort of like looking at a film negative... Haiya... is it god's plan to get me to quit gaming kah? Sorry, i know it's a little off topic... QUOTE(slickz @ Jun 17 2009, 08:47 AM) just got street fighter IV. As someone who started playing the fighting genre with tekken II, III, SC IV, I must say that SF is a whole different kind of beast. Welcome fellow shoryuken brother... Way back in the early 90s I never did got into street fighter since I never could figure out how to do the hadouken combo. Now with SFIV I finally got the hang of it lol! Getting street fighter IV finally made me understand what did those egm reviewers meant by dial-a-combo back when they reviewed SFIII:Alpha. Having a fighting game that focuses on stick movement felt really fresh and interesting after growing up on fighting games that focuses on rapid button dialing. Gimme time to train with CPU first then I'll open up to network fights. I hope they're not laggy? Online matches are OK between local players... Chk the psn id list on d 1st page. And no need to train against CPU lar... I'm a well known punching bag... come come come... |

QUOTE(rawfish @ Jun 17 2009, 10:44 AM) What a great decade to be an SF fan! Yeah,• The right age for me to save and afford my own gear (as a kid, blowing my allowance on arcades is no fun) • Interactive communities that actually listens (Capcom-Unity... SFHD fan service, SF4 console char poll, etc) • YouTube • 2 local tournaments in a month, and more to come • SRK Tech Talk (as a kid I couldn't give a damn whenever the arcade technician opens up the panels. Today, I fuss over the Vewlex standard!) • Abundance of HRAP3s and TEs now - stockouts don't last long too thanks to China • PayPal, eBay, Amazon, vPost, comGateway to bring to our shores what was near-impossible to get the last decade • Multi-platform games - but I just wish this site opened up a section just for SF - like what gameaxis did so more detailed discussions can be held. Er wait, (looks at GAX)... nahhhh I don't think so. Before the SRK database wipeout I was quite active there. • Guys like you here, as with my old friends. Iiiiiiiinndestructableeee... Spot on rawfish!! I remembered during my school days, i would save up lunch money my mom gave me for school juz to lepak at the arcade playing sf2... that was 18 years ago!! 20sen per game... THOSE were the days... Damn now i'm tipping over to my 30s and suddenly playing sf4... Getting alot of wierd looks frm my parents, some friends, girlfriends... No more clubbing but all my clubbing money spend on sticks and blah blah blah... I wonder wat will happen in 20years time when i'm 50? This post has been edited by hanz079: Jun 17 2009, 12:12 PM |
