Since we took the "beta" tag off Google Chrome in December, we've been updating two release channels: developer and stable. With our latest release, we're re-introducing the beta channel for some early feedback — and if you're reading the brand new Google Chrome blog, you are probably just the person to give it a try.

The best thing about this new beta is speed — it's 25% faster on our V8 benchmark and 35% faster on the Sunspider benchmark than the current stable channel version and almost twice as fast when compared to our original beta version.

Some of the new features you can try out include form autofill, full page zoom and autoscroll (both thanks to a new version of WebKit), and a cool new way to drag tabs out to get a side-by-side view

Getting on the beta channel means your version of Google Chrome will regularly get updated with new speed enhancements, features, and bug fixes before most users see them. We're doing our best to quickly churn out new features as they are available rather than saving them up for occasional major releases. Riding the beta channel is a great way to let us know about what's working and what's not, but don't be surprised to find some rough edges. Also, if you're looking for an even earlier (and rougher) sneak preview of things to come, you can always move to the developer channel.

Try out the latest Google Chrome BETA.

Mind defining "properly"? I'm able to completely load the page and see the blocks bounce around as if there's gravity. Make sure your browsers are all updated.

Can you pull your Google icon and drag it around? Take the Google icon and throw it to other fallen words and see as how the words bounce around.

I am using all the latest browsers doh.gif

QUOTE
    * The bookmarks title in the bubble is now left justified - credit: m0

    * Entering Kangi characters into the address bar no longer crashes Chrome (e.g. "--@ シ").
    * Added "Undo Tab Close" and "New Tab" to the context menu on the tab bar.
    * Corrected a regession where the suggestions from the address bar auto-complete were not correct for non-Latin languages.
    * PageUp, PageDown and Up and Down arrow keys will now scroll the page when the Find bar is on screen.
    * Chrome now displays a confirmation box when closing a tab with an in-progress download.
    * Closing Chrome while a download is in progress no longer causes a crash.
    * It is no longer possible to cut or copy from a password text-field.
    * Fixed an issue where a maximized window was the wrong size after unlock.
    * SVG images with .svgz extension are now properly displayed.
    * Fixed regression where favicon of History and Downloads page was missing.
    * Chrome now supports favicons that are provided as encoded data in html.
    * Corrects an error where the "Install plug-in" info bar would not show up.
    * Ctrl+Shift+Arrow allows change in text direction in RTL UIs. Also now support Ctrl+Shift text alignment based on which side of the keyboard those keys are pressed.
    * Fixed a regression where mouse wheel scrolling would close the bookmarks menu.
    * Initial check-in to remove thumbnails from the New Tab Page (feature still in development).
    * The title of a JavaScript dialog box used to contains "Alert" regardless of how it's made: whether by alert(), prompt(), or confirm(). Now it only displays "Alert" for alert() calls.
    * Fixed issue where the Google Calendar Widget would not load schedule content.

Google Chrome 2.0.177.1 Beta
http://dl.google.com/chrome/install/177.1/...e_installer.exe
Changes in v2.0.177.1 Beta
Updates:
* Update WebKit 530.8
* Update V8 to version 1.2.0.
* Update to version 26 of open-vcdiff (underpinnings for SDCH decoder)

Visible Changes:
* Allow Flash (and other plugins) to be installed without restarting the browser. This works by monitoring the MozillaPlugins registry key and reloading the plugin list afterwards.
* On some sites text disappears or is never drawn. For example, on Google Calendar, the titles for all day events do not display. (Issue: 9904)
* Added "Restore closed tab" item to Tab menu.
* Fixes a bug where scrolling up would draw over the horizontal scrollbar on Mac.
* Fix issue: If SpellChecker is disabled through UI, then right-click context menu's spell checker language option should be unchecked.
* Allow users to hit ctrl-shift-delete ("clear browsing data") even in fullscreen mode.
* Fix a painting problem observed with windowless flash plugins, when they are initially created with a zero clip.
* On uninstall ask whether to delete profile.
* Disable the move/size/maximize entries on the system menu in fullscreen mode.
* Add open/close animations to infobar, download shelf.
* Make sure radio buttons can't be toggled like checkboxes.
* Disable RCtrl + RShift shortcut for changing directionality when no RTL language installed.
* Fixes for selecting RTL text.
* Fixes a problem where for some Indian locales, the automatic font fallback by Windows UI components leads to too tiny glyphs for UI strings.

Crashes:
* Fix a crash where the ResourceMessageFilter is deleted before a SafeBrowsing check has completed.
* Fix hang seen in plugin process.
* Fix crash in setup.exe.

Some extension samples. To run these samples, you need to use a recent trunk build or the Chrome dev channel release and add --enable-extensions to your Chrome command line.
