Since we took the "beta" tag off Google Chrome in December, we've been updating two release channels: developer and stable. With our latest release, we're re-introducing the beta channel for some early feedback — and if you're reading the brand new Google Chrome blog, you are probably just the person to give it a try.

The best thing about this new beta is speed — it's 25% faster on our V8 benchmark and 35% faster on the Sunspider benchmark than the current stable channel version and almost twice as fast when compared to our original beta version.





Some of the new features you can try out include form autofill, full page zoom and autoscroll (both thanks to a new version of WebKit), and a cool new way to drag tabs out to get a side-by-side view

Getting on the beta channel means your version of Google Chrome will regularly get updated with new speed enhancements, features, and bug fixes before most users see them. We're doing our best to quickly churn out new features as they are available rather than saving them up for occasional major releases. Riding the beta channel is a great way to let us know about what's working and what's not, but don't be surprised to find some rough edges. Also, if you're looking for an even earlier (and rougher) sneak preview of things to come, you can always move to the developer channel.

I've tried it. Works in FF, Chrome and Safari. Not only Chrome.

but in other browser, bouncing effect does not work properly

Hye when u all use this new chorme 2.0 is there any problem like can't fine server or any thing?? One more thing can it work with IDM... Why sometime my chorme 2.0 is nor responding and need to kill some tab. or i open a tab the last i open web is not show??

    * Fixed a regression, the bookmark bar would not allow drags when on the new tab page.
    * V8 proxy resolver support is now enabled by default, and no longer behind a flag.
    * Added a localizable font family and font size for rendered web content. This allows Chrome to display larger  characters for certain international font families (e.g. Malayalam and Bengali).
    * Fixed an issue with the new tab page which would not start throbbing until the load committed.
    * Fix a crash which occured when canceling a save page operation.

    * It is no longer possible to cut or copy from a password text-field.
    * Fixed an issue where a maximized window was the wrong size after unlock.
    * SVG images with .svgz extension are now properly displayed.
    * Fixed regression where favicon of History and Downloads page was missing.
    * Chrome now supports favicons that are provided as encoded data in html.
    * Corrects an error where the "Install plug-in" info bar would not show up.
    * Ctrl+Shift+Arrow allows change in text direction in RTL UIs. Also now support Ctrl+Shift text alignment based on which side of the keyboard those keys are pressed.
    * Fixed a regression where mouse wheel scrolling would close the bookmarks menu.
    * Initial check-in to remove thumbnails from the New Tab Page (feature still in development).
    * The title of a JavaScript dialog box used to contains "Alert" regardless of how it's made: whether by alert(), prompt(), or confirm(). Now it only displays "Alert" for alert() calls.
    * Fixed issue where the Google Calendar Widget would not load schedule content.
