what is the best lcd tv for ps3 and movies (dvd & blu-ray).....
brand is not important....budget is around rm6k or less is better....

specs should have rich in colour, black level is deep, no flickering or ghosting,
100hz is optional if 50hz type is better (can sumone elaborate more on this???)
must have hdmi smile.gif

MY recommendation if u can afford the 46 Full HD LCD from Sharp Aquas then go for that.

If not Samsung 40" Full HD is also good and affordable.

End of the day i will recommend that what ever TV u get, ensure that u get the extra warranty period. I took for 2 years it was ok. After 2 years got problem already. I should have taken 5 yrs.

Samsung & Sharp after sales are really good.

And i did my research for few months and found that HLK stores has the best price in electrical products. Anyway that was some time ago, but it seems that now place like Harvey Norman have good deals and not so expensive on certain selected things.

LCD Mon, u may wanna test it out first. coz LCD mon even 24" also look kinda small.

on the other hand, a 32" HD ready LCD is not that expensive anymore.

i used both AQUOS and LG (not mine) before

personally i feel that from a functions perspective, LG (same range) has more functionality, it seems it also has nicer colors and brighter (at the max brightness).

i was told that AQUOS has very minimal defect, and TV sent to shops for repair are mainly Korea brands. thats why i bought an AQUOS.

im using sharp aquos 37inch for 2 years oledi. good enough for my xbox, but if 100hz,that will be extra bonus for gaming....for a rm6k budget,u can get plenty of brand n full hd. i would recommend u to get sharp aquos or philips(or ambilight model),,,,both preferbaly 100hz.

where to get good price n good service of lcd? plz go to LEGEND electronics shop.....got one in sri petaling, old klang road n ss2. their price is cheaper than u name it,senq, sengheng, best denki, harvey norman or hsl, survey kau kau oledi

sri petaling=03-9058 6666
old klang road=7983 0226

u can adjust your LCD TV setting to make it show as 4:3 (black bar) or 16:9 (stretched)
there is also a setting in ps2 menu that allow u to turn on wide screen mode.. but from experience, it does not work
some game also support wide screen like god of war 2, ff 12.. (adjustable in the game setting)

i think it depends a lot on your preference as well
some people (like me) feel that LG color looks nicer than SHARP

best is still to test the TV yourself..

i think you got that wrong. any lcd tv can connect to your pc, even if it's hd ready or full hd. it's just a resolution change. as long as your pc can handle the resolutions, it's fine.
