Official release date is tomorrow... but Play-Asia already has it in stock! Play-Asia PES 2009 Wii

At USD44.90 and USD/MYR @ 3.69, there goes this month's budget. Ahh.. screw it.

Anybody getting this? Having not played the 2008 version, this Wii PES virgin may need some time before he's up to speed. Still need some kakis later on for online play, though.

I like it. However some ppl might not like the new control and won't take time to learn it.

Yes, I noticed the reception for PES2008 was pretty ice-cool here the last time around, despite being ground-breakingly fun by all accounts. It's ok, I think I'll still enjoy it anyway, being the PES fanboy that I am.

This time we can choose either Wiimote+Nunchuk or Classic Controller/Wiimote to play...

The gameplay is defined from last version, and absolutely nearly perfect...

We can Co-OP in Local Multiplayer / Wifi up to 4 people...

how's the control guys? same like ps3/xbox or we swing2 the wiimote to score? any ideas?

You can choose Wiimote+Nunchuk method, it play like PES2008 Play Maker, but this version is enhanced and defined, especially defence.

You can use analog stick to control the defender, press Z to do tackle.

For the acttacking, the gameplay is fluid n faster than PES2008(seem too slow).

If you mastered the Wiimote+Nunchuk controller method, it will play like using PS2 controller, no different.

The shooting still shaking the nunchuk, but u can aim the position where you shoot if you want.

Another method is using classic controller, play like old school PES(PS2 Controller method) .

Is it smooth or lag?

hmm, u can set the priority for connection in online play...

i get lag playing with china ppl, and i met an europe and jpn guy that the gameplay is quite smooth(sometime a little bit lag)...

hopefully can try to play with u guys...

I just picked up FIFA '09 because I couldn't wait for PES 2009. Now, after a week of playing, it's released.. :S

But I got my FIFA '09 cheap at $40 anyway.

For Wii, best recommendation is picking PES2009...

PES2009 price is quite cheap, USD $39.99...

FIFA '09 has the similar control as the PES anyway.

But I'll try to get PES2009 as well!

Fifa09 , compared to its counterpart, does not look great.
