Its italdesign cala .. custom made by a designer for lamborghini, it still remains as a concept version and never released for public.

Yeah, the Cala was Lambo's initial plans to build a "Baby Lambo" with a V10 engine... The Cala eventually evolved into the Gallardo of today...

That's becoz it was designed during the Diablo era, so there's some similar design cues between both cars... And it's designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro... The Diablo was designed by Marcello Gandini (who also designed the Countach)...

Personally, I like the Cala's design, it still looks good until today...

which is a shame, coz i think it still looks good even 4 2day's standards..

designed on a time when lamborghini was kinda uncertain, keep changing ownership, until audi finally bought it, n then the idea was dismissed altogether..

in a way, this was kinda the current gallardo's father..

usually concept will eventually be muted to 'reality' if they gone into production.

contach & diablo is a fine example where not much was shelved (design) when it was given the go ahead button. cala looks ok but a little overdone by italian standards.

they (italian) can be minimalist, look at 8C, maserati or bad boy brutalish; gallardo, reventon
