damn the red horn is fantastic! I mean the box i mean everything about it!

Oh ya the HMM Blade Liger AB is already out in Japan.
HMM AB

Not sure if anyone see this yet, notice the the PK parts and the drill up was kitbashingly attached, very nice quite proportion as well. I too notice its similar size to the orginal TOMY Iron Kong.

HMM Iron Kong

I was surprised to see how big the box is. Very happy that i got this last box from XL Mid valley. Well.... kindredd got it for me.

Awesome grab, Sir Edmaestro!
Now, just where are you going to keep the box? Can I have it to frame up, please? tongue.gif

On a side note - is bro Kindredd still playing with Zoidos? His playroom was really *wow*!

As of lately he hasn't made any addition to his Zoids collection.

BUT he is the master among modellers, so he's pretty much into model kits for now. Saw his major haul on Scopedogs, Gundams, macross etc.

Poison! Even the boxes inside are nice! laugh.gif

My thoughts about the IK, or the HMM line in general, it's really meant more for modellers than zoid lovers who only do snap-fitting.
Look at that huge shoulder gun and backpack with so little color separation, you really need to do some major painting in order to make it really nice.
the same case with Genosaurer's guns. Maybe Koto believes it's main market, the Japanese modellers all paint their kits, so it's not a big
deal, but for snap-fitters... sweat.gif .

Don't take me wrong, i LOVE the HMM Zoids. and i enjoy some minor detailing here and there, but i really wish for future releases Koto won't gives us huge single/dual colour weapon parts (plain white/grey... sweat.gif ) either better part separation, or at least better colours! laugh.gif

Just my 2 cents. sweat.gif

zoidsbliss you are right, the dramatic release of the HMM lines really makes me wanna learn how to model my zoids. I only do minor painting here and there that too did have advantage so that it wont look too plain. BUT i hope i could do more like Air brush or something and thats another department which needs hefty investments. Tools and paints etc cost alot according to modelling friends.

Anyway i am planning another LYN Zoids Gathering, this will be our 4th meeting. I intend to wait until Revoltech Zoids is release as well as the rest of the HMMs at least we can share the appearance of these zoids infront of our eyes. What you guys think?

I've been reading up on modelling and painting basics, it sounds fun and the end result can look amazing (as demonstrated by bro morgenthau's Command Wolf laugh.gif ) BUT i believe that's after tons of practice then can only achieve that kind of result. and as you mentioned, hefty investment in airbrush and paints. and time-consuming as well. preparation work like seams filling and sanding. it's really another level than simply snap-fitting. it really requires a lot of dedication to be good at it and produce zoid masterpiece of your own. so for now i'll stick to enjoying the snap-fitting and minor detailing. and pray Koto gives us better colours! sweat.gif

wow, well said. it is true. I invest in air brush brand like Iwata and paints. It involves money. Usually, I build to make it looks better and nicer.

previously I only cut and snap fit, but if you really need to make it look nicer, time and effort need to contribute.

Currently I am going my Geno Breaker, the seam line need to cover and putty is involved. Many steps to be taken in order to have a good result. Wouldn't it be good once it is completed done in a nicer way ? snap fit for everyone can do, but putting your skill work on to your model to look nice and attractive is a masterpiece.

Power grabs Ed! rclxms.gif Why letting go of an OJR? spares?

I'm not sure about it's accuracy, but from here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revoltech judging from the trend of couple of Revoltech releases a month, Revoltech Blade Liger will probably be released March/April earliest, so if you want to wait till it's released, then it's still at least 3 months away.

I got an MIB King Liger and willing to sell my OJR at a much affordable price. The reissue is RM80.....

Ummm... i think there about that we should hold the gathering. I was thinking of having time to built the 4 HMMs i have plus the HMM holotech Shield Liger parts. I have yet to find a decently priced HMM Shielf Liger now. Also chinese new year break, come to think of it March or april is the best time.

I also want to give an opportunity for outstation zoiders to be here which i have met and eager to be in the gathering.

Every year we grow on head counts, so i hope 2010 4th gathering will be better than 2009.

Not forgetting Mechadioz attendance will bring much delight in our eyes..... his chromies project.

Free gifts.... again but i will have to look for sponsors again.

After a loooonnnnggggg time away from zoids, I am finally back in the game. Thanks to Ed, I got myself an HMM Iron Kong. Was very very hesitant due to the size and cost but quite glad I got it at the end. I have some great diorama ideas in my head already. looking forward to building this bad boy!
