tarpaucase, u use maxis broadband to play wow? how's the latency?
the thing with the ip is, even if you somehow manage to get tmnet to allocate 60.* ip (the good ones) to your block, it's still risky. because who knows a few weeks later 60.* may become the bad ones. i used to get 218.* all the time, so i guess they assigned these ips to my block. 218.* ips are are fast and good, so no complains for me. then they scrapped off 218.* and allocate 115.* to me. 115.* was as good as 218.*, until recently around cny time. then it all went to hell. nowadays i have to keep reconnecting my PPP until i get 60.49.*. i've kept my current 60.49.* connection for a good 1 month already, i think.
off-topic a bit, but anyone knows of a way to circumvent the 'security' tmnet has in place where you try to reconnect too many times and then they just block you from retrying? then u have to wait for like 5-10 minutes before you can connect again. dying to know how to bypass this security mechanism.
