QUOTE(ivanau88 @ Mar 17 2009, 09:41 PM)
dude, I am being neutral here to tell you that you know I know everybody knows that it is impossible to fairly taxed over the cars. It is totally against their will.

So as a conclusion, if Proton stands, your dream will never come true dude.

You are giving me a feeling of no matter how hard Proton work to come out with a better car, you will assume it is a piece of overpriced local made junk.
Proton really improve not say very much overall but at least there are some improvements if you compare to the Wira and Waja era. You will accept the fact that no matter how hard you complaint. You are not in the position to change this situation. If I were you, I will stand aside to see how they progress instead of bashing them in the forum. No point of doing that, success or failure in the future might just prove your comment. Chill. I was mumbling like you last time but I don't think that is the solution. Since you hate them so much, I guess you wouldn't buy their car. So, give them a chance and sit down just watch. To you, no lost right?
*
I'm not complaining but sharing my views. I don't mind because I wouldn't buy their cars anymore as I've had one before. I still think Proton should price their car fairly and I will continue my stand that the MPV is overpriced and the quality is crap. I will have to agree on you that we should just sit down and watch so I hope I'm wrong about the quality issue smile.gif

i bet he still gonna fight with superb English that we never even heard before or understand. oopps.

Again, your post is of no value smile.gif

is there anywhere in my post where i am stating that i am defending a particular brand?
its just your assumption, no?
rolleyes.gif

for a supposedly "smart" person like you, jumping to a conclusion that fast make u look like, shall i say a fool?
so where does that put you, in the moron part of the population or the smart part of the population?

earlier u say u dont drive a proton, but lets face it, this is the internet, i can have 10 ferarris in my house, no?
rolleyes.gif

and again, where in my initial post that shows i am defending this brand?

all i did mention was, please look back, i am lazy to reply the same thing again and again.

As I say, there needs to be morons to balance things up so you've made it again - congratulations. I am just as lazy to correct you and I don't gain anything for making you smarter either smile.gif You're right and this is the Internet and in fact I only own a Saga of 28 years. You're good (since you need a consolation). If you're not defending Proton because I said it was crap so what are all your posts implying? Please, if you don't have anything to say, shut up and don't be stupid. It helps. If it makes you happier, your NEO is the best 2 door car in this world and chicks prefer 2 door cars (according to some of your stupid posts previously). I don't want to dig up further and see what other silly statements you've made so obviously, you're someone that is not constructive at all.

ouchie, resorting to personal attacks now?
cant take the heat?

again, i shall put the challenge up to you, is there anywhere in this thread did i defend a particular brand?
smile.gif
and what did i posted again?

now now, come on, for someone as high and mighty as you are, you surely can do better then to go to a personal attack level?
dont just that make u look stupid?
like our beloved MP, when they could not argue, they resort to personal attacks?

ouchie, i felt sad for you.

I'm just trying to show that you have no credibility and constructive posts smile.gif I've already explained in my previous post so please read. I'm wondering who sounds more stupid and who's feeling the heat instead, lol. Pretty pointless to listen from someone that enjoys posting crap when I'm sharing serious opinion here. If only I know you're crap poster earlier I wouldn't have bothered to respond and now I know how you got that number of post counts laugh.gif Please, join the underage club and you could pick up girls with your 2 door car rolleyes.gif Please also structure your post correctly for ease of reading. We'll report threads out of topic from this point onwards, thank you.

Back to the topic, anyone else have comments on the Exora? smile.gif

smile.gif

what did i just say, work harder, earn more money and dont give this brand a second look.
and apparently, you are not able to stand up to that and thus, resorting to personal attacks.

i pretty much let other judge from where this start to see who is the person that cant stand the heat.

Quote from Paultan.org:
AA surveys show that child seats that are fitted with the adult seatbelts are typically 70% to 80% misfitted with around 30% being seriously misfitted. So what happens during an accident or harsh braking? Your child might just fly together with the misfixed seat! When even the Satria Neo has ISOFIX points, why not in the Exora? if you say lack of regulation requirements - then why are they in the Neo? Cost, how much can ISOFIX points cost! RM50 to RM100 per point? A maximum of RM500 per car, with overly inflated costs for 2 ISOFIX-equipped seats in the 2nd row? Couldn’t scrapping some of your Corporate Social Responsibility programs cover the cost of proper ISOFIX points in your Exora? Spend the money on your real customers instead of others!

Why wait for the government to enforce something? Proton should be proactive in taking this step. Malaysians are not educated on such safety features. Do your part in educating them. Perhaps in your focus group studies for the Exora, none of the potential customers asked for ISOFIX points because they don’t even know what ISOFIX is. That is no reason for you to omit them. Put them in and educate them. Don’t be penny-wise pound-foolish. The good PR from this will be valuable, more than the cost of the points themselves. Really good child seats with ISOFIX support can be expensive. Package them together with your hire purchase loans for families to be able to afford them.

For RM70K+ and we're not getting security features smile.gif Maybe Proton can do better.

Agree. Proton need to be more proactive. Introducing the BCM is a good start.

p/s: maybe if Exore got ISOFIX Proton will all gomen to banned other MPV without this function. laugh.gif

I think we should start emphasizing on security just like having rear seat belts put on compulsory.

Honest answer... laugh.gif In the US, driving a car wth a child without proper safety seat is consider a serious offence compared to adult without seatbelts. nod.gif

1. I really wish for any of the car journalists to define 'underpower'. Really, in the age of GPSs and accelerometers, some attempt should be given to the test how much acceleration is felt at a given RPM change, say from 0 to 2500.

2. Then you have many cases of 'underpower' - moving from stand still, overtaking, time delay after slamming the pedal before power kicks in, RPM at cruising speed... which one?

3. Other than light turbo, if the only concern is start from stand still,
I'd recommend electric motor assisted i.e. should EVE ever land into the CAMPRO it'll nullify any low RPM torque concerns

I expect to read some worthy input and views from lowyat forum regarding Exora but ended up reading a lot of your crappy so-called good command lousy annoying words....
You're nowhere more credible and constructive than the rest of us. And since when having a good command in English makes someone a better person? And i believe Lowyat didnt put that as pre-req to post here right?

You're the case of an empty can for me. rclxms.gif

Exora; I'm still wondering if Proton still have something up their sleeves. Their MOU with Mitsubishi last December should results on something promising, in the form of a GDI or MIVEC perhaps?

Then again, looking at how all those pre-prod pictures of Exoras leaks through the internet, if there were any better engine, somebody from Proton should've leak the news sad.gif

My guesstimate from details scattered around the net, the Exora will be as sluggish as Innova, if you call that sluggish. And 3 out of 4 review claims that the Exora NVH is great. One review even suggest that its quieter than a french car they drove two weeks earlier. 308? facelifted 407?

I've been following most reviews related to mpv's especially those available locally. I'm very familiar with Avanza 1.5 (the nervous car) and last facelift Odyssey CBU (just as crappy as local assemble - hint; suspension noise), driven G. Livina on a few occasion and test driven the latest Wish and Stream. I cant clearly rate Paultan or CBT or Motortrader but comparing their previous reports on other cars and this Exora, i can safely say that it is something.

It might sell well....

True. We know child safety is important. But i guess proton did not include those stuff as there wont be many people fully utilising it. And how many people in malaysia knows what is isofix and isofix equipped child seat? More awareness of these is needed.

Regarding the 'underpower' thingy, come on.. its a MPV. its a people mover. Not a race car. As long the MPV can get your family from one place to another safely, that's the point.

Your reply isn't a lot better either smile.gif Do you own the car to say you're familiar or you're another superb reviewer that could conclude a car just from a test drive? Seriously, I don't understand the point of you trying to show you're that good (when you're not) and saying others are the empty can instead. What nonsense GDI and MIVEC are you talking about when the specifications are already revealed? If you think it's plain crap then you should just shut up and contribute something better. You don't show you're any better by repeating what I did.

If you cannot accept some other people's opinion then you shouldn't be posting here. For the same reason I don't hit down at your all ridiculous assumption of reading up reviews and comparing them as if you're a scientist. When all of us are trying to get back to the topic, please try not to start unnecessary things again rolleyes.gif

The company cars (Avanza, Odyssey). Been to and fro to SG on monthly, if not weekly basis.

And i don't have that so-called 'mystic' mode that can sense the quality of all those mpv's from range. You should have that ability since you have conclude Exora as a failure. Care to share with us how to develop those skills?

That was preliminary specification. Ever read the clause 'subject to change without notice'? In Exora's case, a better engine may be?

I did not say Exora is a failure but I do not have confidence with an MPV using the same engine as a Satria/Waja and being priced RM70K+. These are all my personal view and my stand to that remains smile.gif Like what someone said, we'll just wait for the next 2-3 months to see how good or bad it is.

I didnt have any problems with their pricing since Waja CPS is 65k, Gen2 and Persona around 50k to 60k, Saga 40k and so on. Pricing the Exora below 70k would conflict Waja's price wasn't it?

I think the price is fair as long as they prep the car up to 70k to 80k quality level. At least better plastic than Avanza or Citra. Or you prefer they price it 50k? And end-up with plastics with cheap fillers and smelly antioxidant, resulting the whole family vomit on long journeys.
