Can somebody confirm that this APN trick actually works on fw 3.0? i was using 3.0GM last week and found out that whatever fake text i entered in APN setting, the iPhone is always connected to the Net (using Celcom3G).

This is the only reason why i'm still holding on from upgrading to 3.0. At least until there's a way to disable the gprs/edge setting.

I have asked the celcom rep at selayang branch about APN setting during FW2.2, and he told me that the 3g setting is not required for iphone. Do not enter anything, and it works, at least on my unit.

@zulazhan,
I think people want it NOT to work in this instance.

@deodorant,
I was of great help?! hmMM... now that's rarely the case on this forum but glad to be of help anyways.

Anyhow, I figured, if cannot get USB to work, who cares cause can still connect via BT and the iPhone can still be charged though the USB cable biggrin.gif  Doesn't drain the batt so i don't care tongue.gif

I got my tethering installed. My Vista picks up the connection via BT. Havent tested the connectivity yet cause mine is pay per use 3g... smile.gif
Could it be used via wifi as well?

I opened the mobileconfig file and I notice the Payload UUID is different in file that Krux provided and the one I got from http://help.benm.at/help.php.
Krux PayloadUUID states [7F31C980-26FB-4592-A1CF-ED588D71670C]. His setting is for celcom
My PayloadUUID is [077F3C8A-0C9A-42F3-BEB3-53200CCCF3E2]. I did for celcom too, but havent tested yet.

Maybe the payloaduuid i downloaded was orginally for SingTel, and krux from other telcom in SG.

Does anyone know that this payloaduuid do?
