well i have heard of this medical condition before; in which the constant clicking of the F5 key, does to a certain extend, cause symptoms mimicking a bad hangover.

@xandman,
Add BT device to Vista.  Setup Bluetooth Personal Area Network and connect to it and voila, it works!  Still not too sure about USB but heck, who cares as long as BT is working; can still connect the iPhone to USB to charge it biggrin.gif

@BlueHeng,
Am wondering, perhaps some setting needs to be done; for example an adhoc peer to peer connection.  It's still not working but I'll try again later.  Now gotta go back to work and figure if I should open that RM99 Unlimited Data Plan by Maxis!
*
i'm using vista, the bluetooth works well for me
I was just turn on iPhone bluetooth, then I go to vista control panel -> bluetooth devices, then i select add.
after detect, pin verified, it connect to my phone.
then i go to network set up and add PAN
done biggrin.gif

btw, i found that the battery indicator is more precise now.
So you going to feel the battery life seem like drop faster than before?
instead of full bar for quite a while then only start drop rapidly

can i confirm something...?

Ur mms and gprs/3g uses the same apn rite?
or no?
*
i'm using celcom 3G
if 3G, there is no need to set the APN for that also, everything work automatically

Er.. what about Internet Tethering through USB?  What do U need to setup?! *grins*  Am quite sure something needs to be setup because for BT we need to enable PAN.  For USB thus far, Peer to Peer Adhoc Connection doesn't work *siGh*
*
USB much easier...
i turn on tethering..
i plug
everything work automatically icon_rolleyes.gif

turn on the tethering 1st
then only plug it in.
the 1st time when i turn on and plug, the vista treat is as new device and automatically install some driver
then wait for quite some while , it start tethering.
I replying this message with the tethering biggrin.gif

Am not sure if it'll tether through wifi.  I too am on pay per use hence haven't really quite tested heavily on it.  Haven't quite converted to an Unlimited Plan ! *grins*

The question I like to ask is.. do calls still come in when we're on Internet Tethering?  Does it interrupt the session or calls just don't come through?  Anyone with answers for it yet?! biggrin.gif
*
at ur device manager, do u see "Apple Mobile Device Ethernet"?

I can see this
user posted image

Wonder got anything to do with the USB driver or not hmm.gif

I opened the mobileconfig file and I notice the Payload UUID is different in file that Krux provided and the one I got from http://help.benm.at/help.php.
Krux PayloadUUID states [7F31C980-26FB-4592-A1CF-ED588D71670C]. His setting is for celcom
My PayloadUUID is [077F3C8A-0C9A-42F3-BEB3-53200CCCF3E2]. I did for celcom too, but havent tested yet.

Maybe the payloaduuid i downloaded was orginally for SingTel, and krux from other telcom in SG.

Does anyone know that this payloaduuid do?
*
I using krux mobileconfig
it works fine for me. i'm using Celcom, RM 98 unlimited data package

since it works, i din bother so much detail

@CooLeRthings,
For Internet Tethering through USB on Vista, just install iTunes 8.2.  When you plug in the iPhone through USB cable (and enable Internet Tethering), it will just come on biggrin.gif

No settings whatever required.

*Added*

Anyone finds the 3.0 makes sync-ing very much slower than it used to be?!
*
agreed...
the backup run kinda slow compare to last time... but may b for the 1st few times...
hope it get better later on

I actually feel it a big lag compare to 2.2.1
something is there i dun feel that smooth compare to last version
may b just me...
hope everything turn better in future firmware

@CooLeRthings,
Yes you're absolutely right.  Another friend also commented on the lag.  I felt it yesterday when I was doing something but I wasn't sure if it's a good reflection cause I was trying to get my Internet Tethering to work hence I might have utilised too much uhm.. well RAM or whatever *shrugs*

I'm totally dissatisfied with the long synching process.  Mine's still synching and it's been uhm.... AGES!

Did U get Internet Tethering to work yet?!
*
i got it work since yesterday evening smile.gif
via bluetooth and USB
MMS working well and can send to few telcos
forward sms work like charm! like i said earlier,
this forward sms is better than other coz u can quote older sms, and few of them to include together and send biggrin.gif

copy paste work very nice

the "notes" work damn nice now if i store email/phone number smile.gif

again,

i wanna tell every 1

I JUST GOT A NEW PHONE!!! is the same phone(use it since September 08), but it is like a new phone to me~~~
