The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed the latest RE game made exclusively for Nintendo! A sequel to Umbrella Chronicles.

A scan showed that the game will include segments based around Resident Evil 2.

If they use RE4: Wii engine, then it will be good. But since I haven't even played UC yet, I can't comment much.

UC is just a plain shooting game set up in a prev RE premises...nothing else.

Why dun they make a game based on the RE 3d flick? Now that would be awesome using the RE4 engine

i really hope they can make something like RE, RE2 , RE3

to be honest, it looks like a lot of people are speculating it to be a rail shooter, still you get first perspective and a whole lot of action i guess

I was EMO during that scene..first time ever i felt anything for a game character.

(that time i can't afford a ps1...played it on the pc (pixelated as hell on the lowest setting )

its official. Its a rails game but with evade moves. So I don't know how that works.

More pumped out about REmake for the US though.

I think it will be on-rail.
And i think it won't be as good as House of Dead Overkill.

After looking at the trailer Paige posted, I think I can be fine that this game might be better than Umbrella Chronicles. The cinematics camera panning looks good. But if it was something like Dead Aim, i think it'd be better. But that's just personal opinion.

well, if you all had played before UC, and finds that getting a headshot is difficult, this game stated that it will make it easier than UC...

i don't know, i have not played UC, and honestly, RE isn't my type of game...
i might try UC out just because it's on rails...get me?lol

i have a copy of RE4, but well, i don't intend to start it out so soon...still got many other choices of games to play beside that...XD

got, those are being ported to the wii as well...

i just read a whole review rankings of just REs...and RE4 ranked 2nd, and RE2 = 1st...

RE5 if i'm not wrong, was the worse RE out of RE 0 to RE 5...XD, still it's better than those other 9 or 10 RE games out there in the market (including Umbrella chronicles)

there are 15 RE games in total (excluding handphone genre)

Yup, its another rail shooter. I'm hoping it would be faster than UC. Plus let it be more cinematic.

i think it will be faster than UC, as the most of the maps within a stage does not need to be cleared completely before the characters proceed to another place, and also, i think some of the "zombies" could walk faster in this game comparing to UC i guess

RE archives will be out next week..... going to wait and see if there is 16:9 and 480p support before considering a re-purchase.

sources from the earlier jp version says there is none though.

If there's no 16:9 what are you going to do? Stick with GC version?

i heard all of nintendo new wii rehash of their old NGC games includes 16:9 support and 480p even the forthcoming metroid trilogy, kinda bummed that this won't.

so, no one played this game yet here?

completed all chapters including the "secret" missions in normal mode. replaying casually on Hard mode when i'm not playing other games at the moment.

graphically, i thought Umbrella Chronicles had more detailed textures and environment although it was overall darker in UC.

scenes are brighter in Darkside Chronicles and overall framerate and action is smoother. the "shaky cam" effect can be a plus or minus depending on how well u adapt. i personally think it makes the game more action-packed. get the feel of when to shoot and when to watch ... that should make things better

overall, if you like RE: UC ... then you would find this ok as well. if not, i don't think this can make u a believer unless u were captivated by some of the boss fight gfx *haha*.

The shaky cam is bearable but sometimes, it gets extremely ridiculous. I remember there was one time where zombies appear at the left and right of you (about 180 degrees apart) and the camera shakes left and right really fast. The most ridiculous shaky cam moment I can remember was the part in CV where you have to shoot the crane lines in a boss fight. The character is obviously standing still from the scene just before it and the camera again shakes violently for no apparent reason except to annoy you.

well, i just completed the 8 chapters of raccoon city

and i find that...well, the story in this game is better than UC, but somehow, i find UC boss battle and the game progress is better

DC has better graphics...but got one chapter by itself...need to fight the same boss 3 times (in diff forms)...dun have enough herbs...just keep dying there to regain health...lol...and if it wasn't for grenades...i doubt i could clear the stage...>.<"

well, so far...i think that UC is a little bit more fun...maybe cos i like to have the extra degree of view from the camera more...LOL

as for zombies left and right + shaky cam...i think that one you just need to drop a grenade and let it do the work for you...XD

nobody bother with the leaderboards? it seems really easy to qualify for a high ranking, as opposed to the leaderboards for bayonetta.

not sure about the leaderboards...but usually, i play just for the sake of playing and not aiming to get a high score...haha

probably some ppl are just lazy to connect to the wifi to update their score as well
