The scoreline didnt do the game justice.
Pool had a penalty just before the break.
Led 2-1.
Then defended until the 77th minute, where Vidic got sent off (fairly,i suppose) and they scored another dead ball goal.
Playing with 10 man for the remaining 15 minutes,we had no choice but to attack.
The sad part was the changes came just before the red card,so Fergie couldnt even set-up the defence properly.
The 4th goal merely added to the pain...

In all,it was by NO WAY WHATSOEVER a dominating performance; a thrashing maybe, but thats it.

Berba usually looks lost when he plays alone without Rooney...

Ive been reading through some of the comments here and while it seems that the general view has changed ; when we win,MU=GOD and when we lose MU,Fergie etc etc= SUCKS , I noticed some weird excuses and reasons.

I dont think there should be an issue of tired legs or fatigue because we had a week off since last weeks terrible result.

The reason we lost is plain and simple ; Fergie got the line-up wrong.
As brilliant as he is,he's only human and thus is capable of making mistakes just like everyone of us.

Ive said this before, and i think it was proven yet again : Berba cannot play alone and have us dominate a game.
Ive been a big Berba fan since his Leverkusen days, but i feel his style isn't suitable for the formation yesterday (despite it being 4-4-2,it seems more like a 4-4-1-1).

We're just going through a bad spell. Things should pick up soon after Fergie gives the hairdryer treatment x 5 to the boys biggrin.gif

Manchester United need some luck too. Liverpool get 3 penalties in the last 2 games. 2 players from the opposition team sent off during their last 2 games.
*
Agreed.... On the topic of luck, just compare the 'lesser' stats of the past 2 games for both sides.
3 red cards,2 penalties conceded by Man Utd.
2 red cards,3 penalties for Liverpool.

But we all know thats just an excuse anyway tongue.gif

Remember Whiner Rafa's rant on how United gets all the decisions? He should take notes on whats going on now.

Martin O'Neil seems like the perfect replacement for Fergie. Just compare their methods and policies.

But i would prefer one from the coaching team like Mike Phelan,Brian McClair or Rene Mulesteen (or something tongue.gif). This guys should be more familiar with the team and they also have a role in the academy coaching.

True. Besides, the whole "Fergie's gonna retire next season' thing has been going on for the past decade tongue.gif

Gonna be a very tough game and one we CANNOT afford to drop points...

I hope to see the midfield toughen up after 2 very questionable performances in a row. If Fletcher and Carrick keep tracking back when they need to,the defence should be fine, albeit having a makeshift Central defence...

and lets hope nobody gets sent off this time =.=
