which one is better the 1021mb HD 3470 or the 256 mb HD 4570?

Added on April 25, 2009, 12:37 pmbut it gives 1021MB for HD 3470 its worst than the 256 mb 4570?

VRAM doesnt really matter much.

The GPU itself is more important.

4570>3470.

for this one,i need clarification on this..i know some say Intel GC is enough for DOTA or CS..
but some intel performance are bad..
yes,both can run..and its playable..but what i'm seeking is

1.for Dota, does it lag when there are too many creeps or spells thrown around the screen?(default setting)
2.for CS,can it play CS Source (not 1.6)without any lag?(default setting also)

really appreciate feedback from who has tested this..Intel 4500MHD owners especially or other Intel integrated cards..

i know,but my budget is tight.for 3k max what do u recon astria?the most i can get..any other models beside studio 15?

I think Studio 15 would be the best for you.Playing at the lowest detail is no fun at all.

4570 should be able to take Source Engine pretty well.

Try to get another RM500 for a S42.You get much more performance from it.

what about me guys. How much would it cost to Up the warranty period for dell btw?
*
Around RM400,i think.

Go to the Dell website and customised your own Studio 15 la.You'll see an option to extent warranty.

Hi all , Wish I can buy a laptop as below spec : -

-less than RM3k
-less than 2kg, thin size
-good after sales services.( warranty can extend)
-better GPU ( at lease can play RED Alert 3 Uprising)
-any brand
-12" - 13"
-no plastic feel..
-can multitask.( no NETTBOOK)

Thanks in advance! Appreciate your help very much.

Just a suggestion,it would a better idea to top up to around 3.5k for a S42 which feature a better GC.

You'll need it for run RA3 on high, which is the best setting to enjoy RA3.Trust me,it would be worth it,as you will be running on High for water and shader.

I even force my M1530 to run on that setting when i watch replays. It's awesome, man.

this is crap...

P merely means consumes less power, while T means more, and has nothing to do with performance...

performance is base on the 4 numbers instead...

T9550 and P9600, both are 2.66GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 6MB L2 cache... besides the power consumption, both are literally the same...

If im not wrong, the difference between T and P is the transistor size which reduce the power consumption and heat.Thats about it.
