HP is ok actually, but the processor is slow than MSI. If you can get a p8400 on the HP and the price is around 4.3k, i think it is a great deal. Both of the laptop have a 512mb GC, only the display and processor have a slight different. I never use MSI before, HP is cool, but the processor a bit so so. I personally will go for HP because i believe in their product, MSI never convince me to buy their product.

y do u say that about msi?

1. Brand: Any (want reliable, sturdy, with good after sales service esp in M'sia)
2. Budget: ~2.5K / Value for money
3. Specs: Min 2GB RAM, as much HDD space as possible, bt, fast processing (support vista, and performs without any lagging!!)
4. Size: 13" ++

I'm looking to get a lappy as my primary computer, and I want it to last for long long long time (I buy and keep until cannot use already blush.gif ) Normal home use, i.e. net stuff, watch movies, listen to music, picture editing, simple gaming etc. Also need to support CS4 suite (since I'm picking it up).

I don't want a computer that's too heavy, since I like to lug the thing around with me. I think around 13" - 15" should be great, with enuf space for keyboard and viewing screen.

Thanks for assist.

hello...
i need some advice and recommendation, i have to decide which lappy to buy. kinda urgent coz i need this laptop asap. comparison between this 2 laptop.
Attached Image

one of the laptop got 4gb of ram, T4200 1mb cache, and HD3470...and the other have T6400 2mb, igp intel 4500hd, with only 1gb of ram.
price is the same. i like the smaller 12inch laptop design, but i can't resist the other 14inch which seems to have better spec.

pls...noob here. i need your help. which is more worth it?

The second one apparently has a 3 years international warranty right now.

If the sifus here says it is the best price/performance for the laptops right now, I'll be buying it very probable in this week.

Hello guys. I'll be attending an architecture school soon and I need to buy a laptop. Can someone recommend me a laptop that is capable of running most design/architecture related software like photoshop, maya, autocad, etc. ?. I'm also a gamer but not a hardcore one (I play games like warcraft3, fifa franchise, stuff. not high end games like crysis.) My budget is max Rm5k. I'm a complete newbie, please help me.

Do you wanted to try macbook as they having quite a good laptop with bargain price. If you're not into mac, i would recommend Hp Dv6, one of the best 16inch laptop out there together with Dell XPS Studio 16. Hp Dv6 came with Blu Ray so that is a plus. Asus m51vr worth to consider as well. These laptop have a good graphic card and processor. survey for the price out there.

Asus F80Q, but i not sure whether this model is available or not. Compaq CQ40 is not bad too, there is some model that came with freedos but 1gb ram, but heck, ram is cheap nowadays, you can upgrade it yourself and the budget for the laptop still below 2.3k. Compaq CQ40 Asus F80Q

Is this the spec for the Toshiba model?

Personally, the spec looks good to me. Toshiba is known for well built machine and quality, and pricing as well laugh.gif This model is not bad, worth to consider if it in your spending range. Heat is an issue to all laptop, get a cooler and that will solve a lil of the heat issue.

Hello all..
I want to buy a new laptop and I need guidance..
My budget range is from RM1500 - RM2500
Can anyone give me a list of good bargain laptops ?
I have gone through the specifications of few laptops e.g:

- Dell Inspiron 1525
- Toshiba Satellite L300
- Compaq Presario CQ60-219TU

I just not really sure about those choices..

My requirements of getting this laptop:
1. Studies (Can use softwares such as: Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Photoshop CS4 and any other software that requires high performance laptops)
2. Less Heat/Noise
3. Good Battery Life
4. Gaming purpose but this is just an additional (Without external graphic card is okay.)

Can anyone guide me whether which good laptops that I can buy within that price range? If possible, I need to Pros and Cons too, thank you so much for the helps!

NB: I prefer Toshiba, Dell, Asus, Fujitsu, CompaQ but not Acer thank's smile.gif

I will suggest you for Dell 15. The price is rm2399 and the spec is almost the same with Asus F80Q and ToshibaL300. With Dell 15 you can get a vista home basic but u need to top up rm2xx for an OS as Asus F80Q come with freedos.

Pros: Dell is cheap, spec is worth the money that you paying, reliable machine( if you take care of it) and good after sales service and free delivery to your house.
Cons: Dell kinda famous with lemon machine, i never experience it although i bought 2 Dell laptop already. But the warranty will cover up the mess, not such a big deal if you patience and tolerate with it.
