How did you get P8700 and the bag at the same price? seem like a good deal, if you upgrade to p8700 in dell website, they charge you 252 bucks more.

You seems to forget to mention your requirements for screen resolution. For me, and me personally, I prefer a screen with 1920x1080 resolution as I watched many HD movie on it. Besides, you also tend to be more productive when operating your computer under such resolution as you can open multiple window side by side without the need to minimizing them.

If you care much about design, then Asus brand laptop is for you.

If you opt for long battery life, Macbook Pro is for you.

Thanks for your reply!!

Sorry..i have no idea about good screen resolution. Anyway, I always open multiple windows, so good screen resolution is a must too. Anyway, i think i would need a non-glossy screen too, coz the reflections are disturbing especially when i watch movie.

Ya..I am thinking of ASus, but not sure which model worth to buy..

u want 4 hrs of battery life, u will need sth like a C2D P CPU with intel integrated graphic...

the closest that matches ur requirement is not Asus... rather, it's BenQ S42... comes with both GeForce 9600M GT and Intel GMA...

anything longer, it's either Netbook or CULV (eg Acer Aspire Timeline)

Hi Astria,

Thanks for your advice! Yup, i think I will go for Benq-42, wonder how it looks in reality. I went to many places searching for it but no one carry this model...i think it looks pretty good on the Internet...

Btw,Asus F8VR seems quite nice too. Between Benq-42 and Asus F8VR, which is a better buy>?

i would still pick S42, afterall, it's seldom u can find a laptop that can ve both performance and long battery life all packed in a 14" chasis (another is Asus K40Ab, Athlon x2 with dedicated HD 4570 and integrated HD 3200, but battery life is not as long as S42)

but do take note that S42 is already a 1yr old model, so u may ve some difficulty looking for it... the spec is still decent in the market though, scoring 5k in 3D Mark 06, matching thatthe likes of Asus N50Vn (same gen GeForce 9650M GT) and Acer 5935 (the "newer" GeForce GT 130M)

Need some suggestion here:

1. Brand : Any brand with good services
2. Budget : Below RM3000, cheaper is better
3. Specs : Wifi, bluetooth, video out (rgb) for projector connection, good speaker (sound)
4. Size. : Small, 14" is enough.

I'm looking for cheap laptop capable adobe studio (photoshop, illustrator, flash) and some video editing (ulead). Normal graphic adapter is enough as I will not play any game but will play a lot of movie smile.gif .

Actually, I like the size of atom laptop series but it lacks of processing power.

1. Brand: Any
2. Budget: Around 3k
3. Purpose: won't be playing games. Just for normal use, watching movies, surfing etc.
4. Size: Maximum 14"

Currently looking at 2 models
Dell Studio 14 & HP Pavilion DV3-2111TX

Prefer the Dell studio 14 actually but the problem is studio 14 is not eligible for the Window 7 upgrade program.

Any other suggestions besides this 2 laptops?
Thanks~
