Canare F10 RCA plugs and Canare L-4E6S (4-core shielded) cables are available locally in Jalan Pasar and a few other shops among with a few other models from Canare. theres even an audiophile shop in 1 Utama that sells them albeit more expensive than Jalan Pasar.

the 2 models mentioned above are the more popular for DIY cables in the Canare product line for DIY cables. that and also the L-2T2S 2-core shielded cables.

*take note of how i typed the model numbers... there are fake Canares out there which I have found... can check my post HERE to see the differences.

@maxwelx64
i used THIS as my guide to DIY cables.

actually theres also a DIY cable thread in this subsection....do a search and u should be able to find it.

id also recommending checking out the DIY cable galley @ Head-Fi HERE to see what u can do with ur cables. there are quite a number of sexy ones there...

canare plugs are pretty decent.

If you want something that is reasonably priced and will break someone's skull, try the switchcrafts, never fails to impress me.

usually wat i do is.....

1 wire for right... 1 wire for left... balance 2 wires for ground... and the shield either leave it alone...or solder to the ground at the source side only. this is to ensure that any interference the shield picks up is transferred back to the source and is does not output at the speakers.

or can also do like wat CV6149 said.

Don't use Silver solder. It's really not worth it due to it's higher melting point and the pain in the ass to stick. There is no substantial improvement either and it usually kills quality instead because of the difficulty to produce consistent results.

use high quality euthethic blends.
