it is very reasonable and makes sense for maxis to get excess stock from Singapore and sell it here.
But as for why Apple hompeage doesn't have Malaysia as one of the countries, we will have to wait till the 20th....

QUOTE(PrinceCaspien @ Mar 12 2009, 07:23 PM) Iphone will not come to a country which banned locked phone(locked to certain operator). No, iPhones are in countries where locked phones are not allowed. Look at Singapore, New Zealand. 2 good examples.

Just a thought, when you actually do calculate out the plans offered by Maxis, it maybe isn't that expensive, factoring in the fact you are paying for the phone PLUS paying for your monthly phone bill. Coupled with that, the rates offered by those plans actually seem very reasonable.
If you were to buy an iphone outright, and use a normal plan, over 24 months let's say, I doubt that the total amount you pay to get the phone and for ur monthly phone bill will be anywhere near what is offered by the iphone plans.
Please do correct me if I am wrong. Haven't got a calculator to actually key in the values, but from experience from plans offered in other countries, this is the case.
