Guys... can'really say the Iphone is expensive.
For Maxis, why they wanna sell the phone which everyon talk about to those not loyal and heavy user?
If u were to spend like RM50 a month.... why would they wnt to benefit u?

At the end... it is a business world. It goes almost the same for everyone.


For me, I got 2 phone lines. And my Maxis bill only RM50 ... hahaha.... So, cannot think of getting it ...

The plan really really expensive...not worth at all...
i better continue using my iphone 2g...coz 2g and 3g juz a little bit differences only.

i wonder can we find a relative or friend who is using maxis postpaid now
lets say i got an uncle using maxis value 75 plan now
n ask him book a iphone for me using his account,
maybe switch to ivalue 100 (not much different also)
n then get a iphone with the price under the contract
does it work ?? just wondering cause i am confuse ~~

until now there is no any new news about new iphone on 2009, perhaps like string said, it will only announce after july 2009 or i guess it might after 2010 macworld event.

Be patient as it'll definitely be there just a matter of time

Trust me. July 2009. New iPhone. Apple have been following that pattern to the letter T since its introduction, there is no reason it will deviate from that.

Because you are asking for an iPhone specific plan?

What is stopping you from using the current plan you are using, on top of any Maxis 3G packages available now, on your already-bought iPhone?

If you mean that jokingly, then I laugh with you. If you are serious, then you're way off track. With Maxis already onboard the list of official telcos for the Apple iPhone, the new iPhone will be made almost as fast as the rest of the world. IF history is to observed, the iPhone 3G was only available slightly later, 2 weeks in fact, after the American launch, for the second wave of countries on the list. If you use this as a gauge, best case scenario, Malaysia will get it as soon as the American does, otherwise, 2 weeks delay.

Your joke about delays of availability no longer applies here. That joke only works when the iPhone is not available official, then the time schedule is up in the air.

But weird is Malaysia is still not under the country list...not even at coming soon.

very interesting thread. 26 pages with over 20k views within 12 hours. iphone is worth getting if u are tech savvy. HTC Pro is also good. but the diff u're looking at is games and applications u get from Iphone... and whether u wanna feed those developers with 99cents or what so ever.

all i can say is, if u have money, just get it. all in all Maxis is trying to earn RM3000 minimum from the phone + package . any additional is a plus to them. if u look around the world, the pricing is all the same it will come up to RM3000 (16 GB) irregardless of contract with 12 months or 24months.

1 more thing before i sleep... if u have the cash, u'll get it eventually, if u don't have the cash, u'll still find a way to get it eventually.

It will go straight to "Available Now", skipping "Coming Soon".
