Im happy with my 16G SG set.
Dont really matter if Maxis were to bring in the "4G" sets and offer them at a slightly premium price or not, coz with the coming implementation of OS 3.0, I'm happy. Dont really need any hardware updates on my phone.. love it as it is.. Apps Store is the best.

totally agree with u bro..
i used to change phones every 3-4 months..or at least i wud get the most out of it within a couple of weeks...
then came along iphone...after using tis phone..my eyes saw no other phone n my heart no longer pushed me to change to a new hp...
im lucky i got iphone arnd apple's initial release n wud be strictly following da product cycle n grab on the chance to upgrade when i can...
i agree thr are ppl who buy a phone and plan 2 stick with it for few years b4 the next change...tat is totally cool n understandable... but those who buy the iphone following the maxis launch n argue tat how can apple launch a new iphone when u just bought one, well u need 2 wake up n start reading n researching....

Couldn't agree more. IP3G settled my heart for looking new phone every year... One of the strongest point of IP3G: Apple Store.

if no contract tied, it's worthy... I assume it's new.

There's no contract tied to phone but if the employee leaves he/she has to pay some 'punitive' charges. Reminded me of the early years when I had to sign an agreement to stay with the organization for a certain period of time when they sent me overseas for a course which means if offered a more lucrative position, I could not move unless I was willing to cough up some 'compensation'.

but they said it's only for employee own usage. They will track them for this. If found they sell or let other ppl use then it's breach of contract.

Read. Why are they offering TWO units for staff purchase? Put both iPhones on each ears?

Maxis is in full panic mode. They want to sell off that 150,000 units they're allocated by Apple(to qualify as an Apple approved telco, initial shipment accepted MUST be at least 150,000). What would you do if you have 150,000 packets of maggi mee rotting in storage when the latest flavours is about to launch?

Hey jind86..the 3G iPhone has the same spec, no diff. The only differences is the either the iPhone is lock or officially unlock.

Apparently, the hype is high but the sales are low. They need to sell it much cheaper. RM2540 still is not appealing even it's no contract price.

err..no one replied my query yet.

The 1st unit bought by employee MUST be self used. Can they actually track this? Or they just call once a while to see if you sold it off or let someone else use it.

Or else, I will get the employee unit from my friend.

just take a minimum Value 50 + RM 99 [ 3gb ] = iphone3G will be Rm 1700
*
damn it. the new plans are more attractive. The Value 50 + iData RM99 - is still cheaper than my iValue 155 - The new plan has a family plan as well - calling between family numbers are free which is not in the iValue plans... WTF!!!

Do you think they have the resources to do that? their resources are already been stretched thin at the threads, and you think they want to accolcate staff to monitor if the phones are used by someone else other than their own staff? Did you even read the newspapers, they are actively trying to recruit their "so-called Ambassadors" to help them with the iPhone sales, do you think they would worry about an iPhone unit already being sold? An iPhone sold is an iPhone sold, they could not care less about who is using it. Stop propagating the myth before I call the Mythbusters on you!
