The first 2 "DIY" type (WD and Samsung) comes with a thin PVC type pouch.
The rest of the manufacture external hdd does not come with any pouch, but you can choose to add one for RM10 extra, design is like those personal diary type.

As long as the hard-disk is not operational, it can take quite a bit of shock (Normally up to 2000G, or 2000x gravitational force). Suppliers ship to me in normal boxes without any additional padding, just the product packaging to protect the hard-disk inside.
If you happened to be the unlucky few to receive a DOA HDD, just post it back to me and I'll send you a new one FOC.

USB head being lose is quite normal, but for it to disconnect if you touch it, that shouldn't be the way.
I suggest you pack back to it's original packing and send the whole set back to me..i'll replace a brand new unit for you FOC!

All the external hard-disk featured here comes with USB cable with double USB head for extra power if your hard-disk can't run off through a single USB port.

Hi, thanks for your feedback.

It is normal for you to see 298GB on your Windows PC for your 320GB hard-drive. They did not "cheat" you on the size, if you check your hard-disk properties, you'll find you have actually more, under "Capacity", you should see around 32x,xxx,xxx,xxx bytes.

What happens is the hard-disk industry choose to rate the capacities in base 10 numbers so it'll be easier for the consumers, so they just round it up to 1 Byte=10 bits, or 1KB = 1000 Bytes, but for the computer, it is actually 1 Bytes = 8 bits and 1KB=1024 Bytes because the PC uses binary numbers.

So, if you take 320,000,000,000 (320 billion bytes a.k.a 320GB), divide it by 1024 for every level you convert (Bytes to KB to MB to GB):
320,000,000,000 Bytes / 1024 = 312,500,000 KB
312,500,000KB / 1024 = 305,175.7813 MB
305,175.7813MB / 1024 = 298.0232239 GB.
So that's how you end up with "only" 298GB when your computer "sees" it.
