Hi
Just now i was trying to install an apllication to my samsung omnia, but the following msg popped out:

Device main memory not enough

Storage memory is critically low. If the storage memory is not increased, other programs may not be ablie to start. Use File Explorerto delete files that are no longer needed ormove some files to a storage card

I checked my memory status

Main :
Storage : total 87.69 MB, In use 82.74 MB Free 4.95 MB
Program : total 96.24MBIn use46.77 MB, Free 49.47 MB

Storage card:
around 15GB left

1. How come only a little memory left in main memory? even though i used task manager to switch off all the apllication?
2. How to transfer files from main memory to storage card? I couldnt find where MAIN MEMORY is.
3. There is storage site in the fon,namely My storage(1Gb) & Storage card(16Gb), which 1 is main memory?

Thanks
I m PDA noob

Program = ram

Storage = rom

means u have a lot of files in your storage. running applications uses ram not rom. so check your device. probably i suspect u installed a lot of stuff in your main memory instead of your storage card, or your pics and music is stored in your main memory. move em out and put in storage card

May i ask where is the MAIN memory folder? I m trying to remove some files away from it but i dunno which folder it is in.
Thanks

you need third party soft ware like total comander for better edit ur folder.
OMnia got three storage:
1. Main Memory
2. My Storage :8/16GB
3. Storage Card

If u install ur program in main memory sure it will running low. try install everything in My Storage.
when u sync with computer, u will able to see all three storage as well. but some of te system file can't move like that.
need program like Total commander.

ur Pda version is the lastest but ur phone version is not. suppose in IA5 ROM, phone version should be IA2.

i think u better bring to service center to have a look. icon_rolleyes.gif

that red color storage is the reason u can't install program. too low.

I found where the main memory is, it is the Program File folder, removed somethings and it works :-)
Ya, some file cant be moved, i think i will need the so-called Total commander rolleyes.gif
