Forget to ask which Samsung Service Center you went to? Probably I am going this week..
QUOTE(lhongwuh @ Aug 18 2009, 10:40 PM)
@Omnian
I would like to know which service center too..
I went to Plaza Singapura, basement. They open at 11:00 AM.

If you want to purchase the Omnia II at S$838, then there's another Samsung sales booth at the right-hand, coming outside of the Service Center.

Screen is bigger, sharper, nicer.
Startup a bit slower. Like HTCs.
New TouchWiz is nicer also.
One additional and very useful app is the Midomi, a music recognizing software, which Sector of XDA already extracted and ported for the i900s.

Since the i8000 is the successor of the i900, I think it will definitely be better.

Haven't really use it yet, just started it's first charging tonite. And I'm still busy flashing and configuring the Omnia i900. laugh.gif
Will report back when I starts using it.

If any of you are visiting the SSC, there are a few display set there where you can play around with it.

wah so nice of them..

anyway no one will regret with the new screen..
you will love more your omnia once you use it smile.gif
Of course no regret, even if there's no different, I still got a new screen. laugh.gif

BUT.....since I went there without prepare, I took out the IS on-the-spot with the intention of installing it back. Without anything to contain the IS, I asked the Tech for a plastic bag and he kindly gave me one with some printing on the surface. So I just paste all the IS pieces onto this plastic bag.
When I reached home and wanted to install the IS back. all the printing on the plastic bag got stuck onto the IS pieces and can't be wash away.
vmad.gif Wasted the IS, but earn a new screen. laugh.gif
Since I've no time to go purchase a new IS, I still haven't take out the protective sheet of the new screen, but it's already starts to peel off. tongue.gif

Oh man Omnian is one lucky dude. Wanted to get my screen checked coz of the whitish part which is noticeable especially on black backgrounds.

Went to the nearest one to my place which is Mobile City in Alpha Angle Wangsa Maju. Apparently there is no service center there anymore. LOL. The person attending to me told me that the nearest Samsung Service center is in Low Yat plaza.......

There's only 1 mobile city in Alpha Angle Wangsa Maju. Please correct me if im wrong sweat.gif

A report regarding Omnia II.

Remember the standard Omnia i900, whenever we answer/made a call and the screen will turn off when we put the phone by our ear and it will stay off until we press a button?

The same for Omnia II, but once you move the device away from your ear, the screen will automatically lights up and there's no locking of the dialpad. rclxms.gif

I went to Samsung Service Center today, to check out the Omnia II. They quoted me S$898.

While inside the service center, since there are not much people, I asked the Tech whether I can change my Omnia i900 screen.
After checking his PC, he found that my i900's garantee had expired in July, but still asked me what's wrong with my screen.
I told him there's nothing wrong, no scratch, no damage, just heard others said that the new screens are better, so I just ask for fun, since I got nothing to do here. whistling.gif
He took over my i900 and poke the screen a few times, then tell me okay, he'll change it for FREE.  rclxms.gif

ADDED: Forgot to mention, he didn't even ask about the Custom WM6.5 Firmware. brows.gif

So after one hour, I had a new screen and an Omnia II from another shop which sell to me at S$838.  rclxm9.gif

Truely, the new screen is slightly more responsive.  rclxms.gif

Hi just wonder, did anyone encounter before that .mp4 files cannot be played despite using TCPMP?
Cos I had install core player and although it is written .mp4 and .flv files are supported but yet still can't play either of this 2. When i run it the core player will shut down immediately!
Anyone can help?
Thanks!

Will there be a difference if an app, lets say M2D or SPB MS3 gets installed in Device memory or My Storage? i.e speed or stability wise?

So tempted to switch to a custom ROM..... can't stand the amount of memory left in device memory on the standard Samsung ROM. Only 6MB left sweat.gif

Dont wanna invalidate my FMG warranty if anything happens rolleyes.gif
