i believe Diamond 2 would be more expensive than Omnia by the time it launch..

but looking at the review, the new TouchFlo software looks quite impressive..
almost everything is there to cover the ugliness of windows mobile apps
such as SMS editor, contact, alarm, word clock, calculator, calendar, dialer, start menu etc..

this is good for those who don't like to spend more time to explore windows mobile..

another good reason to buy HTC is their screen sensitivity is much more better than Omnia..
and they have bigger ROM & RAM (512mb/288mb)
(i just compare it with my wife's Touch Pro)

eh, i suppose to support Omnia rite?..haha..

of course if i ignore those 2 points above,
Omnia still my choice just because
a) i already bought Omnia..
b) 16gb built in + 16gb micro sd support
c) got shutter button for camera (diamond need to touch screen to take picture)
c) omnia battery 1500mAh, diamond2 1100mAh
d) Omnia got flash
e) other than that, the spec almost same..so is not worth it for existing Omnia user to upgrade to Diamond 2..

the easiest way, go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs
all shortcut program is there..

no worry..u can install it back..
please go through again shokka's ROM thread either in modaco/samsung-omnia.org..
u will find link to all removed apps there..

anyway, i like SPB Mobile Shell 3 where you can assign your friend's facebook picture into your contacts..
quite useful..

can you check in your windows/fonts folder
if there is font try delete it and soft reset..
(default one should be empty)

but you can't simply delete it..
rename the font extension file from *.ttf to something else
then delete it..

some of the applications are using the fonts that u installed on ur device..

it's a Win 6.5 custom ROM..
anyway looks nice, Omnian..

so far anyone using win6.5 got any issue?
software compatibility, crash, etc...

last time tried on early build 6.5, not so stable..

For me, i dont really need standalone contacts application
since i can use smart dialing from the dialer..
and i haven't touch Samsung phonebook for many months also

u just press call button, then type your contact name,
then it will list down the contact that you search for..

to be more advanced a bit
just install 3rd party dialer application
which is integrated with Contacts, CallHistory & Favorites..

currently i'm using the latest iconsoft PhoneEx 1.4..
really nice dialer to replace the ugliness of Winmo or Omnia dialer..



other than that, u can try inesoft phone 4.54
or resco contact manager

ifonz no need to install..
just download the file..
extract into your device..
then run the ifonz.exe file..
that's all

now they have new version 2..
more faster & easy to customize..

anyway also can..
if u want ur app run more faster,
save it in My Device..

to save space in ur My Device,
just store it in My Storage (16gb/8gb) or Storage Card

actually Omnia My Storage is referring to the built in flash drive (8gb or 16gb)..
so not much different if install in Storage Card, plus the performance could be more slower than My Storage..

Anyway, Superkian, for your case u need check few things;
- check in the task manager which program is using hi memory.
- use Resco and search for big2 files in My Device

there is no way to close the SPB mobile shell
unless u do one of these

a) kill the process using Task Manager.
(default task manager cannot do it. Need to install 3rd party apps like Fdcsoft Task Manager, http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm)

or

b) to prevent auto startup, go to my device\windows\startUp
delete SPB Mobile Shell shortcut link. THen soft reset ur device.
But u still can launch SPB Mobile Shell later from the programs menu.

yeah, not to forget u need to bring your mirror for video call..

i plan to bring my phone to service centre to check my screen alignment..
do you think i need to revert back my ROM to original one
since i'm using custom ROM?
mine still under warranty..

for my case, i tried to change other ROM(6.1 or 6.5) also same
But all custom ROM la..long time didn't use ori ROM..
also did the screen alignment more than 20x..

my problem is only happen at the bottom part of the screen..
example, when i need to open the keyboard, i need to click above the button not the button itself..very annoying..

finally my screen problem solved!
just came back from samsung service centre..
they replaced my touch panel with the new one..
screen feel a bit more responsive..

anyway need to buy new screen protector..
the old one cannot use already..

And i thought it's going to take few days to service..
they only took about 1 hour only..
good jobs Samsung Msia..

yeah..i would like to requote my words just now..

the new screen is more sensitive!
before this whenever i touch i use my finger nail
never dream to use finger thumb..

now it's quite easy with the new screen..


i'm very happy about it..

so, please do damage your screen and get replacement..haha..
