Dear Omnians;

I will say good bye from here as I've traded my Omnia with a SE phone

SOME of the Reasons (and not to offend anyone)

1. camera on Omnia really shucks - only good for outdoor with very very good lightings

2. need to soft reset almost every alternate day due to 3rd party s/w like SPB shell...etc

3. to make a call - too many buttons to press n go thru

4. touch-screen - don't know how long it will last

5. with ROM and 3rd party s/w - it's just a cover all to old ugly WM. Hopefully WM6.5 or 7 is better

For phone calls & sms stick to Nokia/SE - WM is not for the faint hearted

Maybe is one or more of the Spbs that's causing the lagg.
Try unistalling them one by one.

Try using Outlook.

Ya, Window Mobile is a System completely different from other phone.
as I said, If u want a great camera, just buy a digicam. what u expect with a phone camera that doesnot have optical zoom.

ps: touch screen will be next generation phone, last for how long?depend on how u use it lol.
why Iphone can have so many fans since it was touch screen?ha

CHose what u need and buy what phone suite you, to save money.

Conventional mobile users may not get used to smartphone during the initial period but once you got confortable with its operation and functions, you will find conventional phones are too lacking. You can install some of the finger friendly software like iDialer, iPhone theme, etc.. You can have too high expectation on cameraphone although Omnia comes with 5mb with flash, try to compare that with other phones. Soft reset every other day is common once you installed too many 3rd party softwares, the same problem with your pc if you run it for several days.

i think you can use any usb port to charge the omnia
no special spec needed

after flash to offical DXIA5 rom and transfer several file back to my omnia
my omnia cant sync with my pc
it does not recognize my omnia at all

The USB cable allow you to sync data with your pc and also charge at the same time, extremely useful especially with huge file installation / transfer.

im shocked to see that trade in value for omnia is 1K ? im just asking some shop how much my omnia worth if i want to trade it. he said 1k.. OMG ..!

I experience ur problem before as well.
Do ur Skyscape SmartSync running?

it was Window Media player fault.
try sync then open ur task manager in ur pc. if u use vista ctrl+alt delete will should it.
terminate wmplayer.exe , try press on sync in window mobile media center.

Another problem may be present is ur microsoft outlook file too large already. but nor amlly it wil still reconigse by computer but failed in sync, so i think urs more is above problem.

if still not solve ur problem,
in omnia, setting> USB to PC > unchrck advance network functionality. may help.

If you willing to trade in yours for Rm1,000, I will take it as much as you can trade in, deal? The fact is that most shops do not specialised in smartphone and have limited customer base, thus can only offer lower trade in price to gather for the risk and time expected to resell it. Of course, the shops also has the excuse that they have rental and salary to pay, so got to cover their overheads. BTW, we are selling at very new used set at low price for the fact that we believe in volume & fast turnover with slim margin. It benefit the everyone, Seller get their sets trade in fast and high while Buyer get new used set at competitive price, win win for all.

Added on March 19, 2009, 8:30 pmAt least you can be assured that Spore set are from authorised distributor with warranty from Samsung Singapore, unlike those from unknown AP or water sets. Don't be too suprise if new used sets are sold as new set with new stickers only.

usb is trickle charge.... so if u try to charge omnia while using it ... it might not charge that fast la. might even after sometime can still see the battery is being used... but slower that not connected to usb la
