to all my sifu's out there... wanted to ask cos i happen to come across this problem many times..every once in awhile my phone loses connection with the simcard and since i have a pin it gets locked. well now if im out somewhere and dont realise that it has happened i wont be able to rcv calls or sms as i need to put in the pin to unlock the sim. i wanted to know whats causing this prob and what i can do to minimise it from happening if its unavoidable or if there is a fool proof way? because i've frustrated quite a number of people with "not answering" my calls and sms. thanks again!

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Mar 17 2009, 11:59 PM) I was actually holding on giving an answer as I wish to know of a better solution but since none of the sifus did, here's what you can do: When the phone recovers its signal after there's no or weak reception, it locks its SIM just like after a reboot. Solution is to disable the SIM code request security function which means when the phone 'reboots', it will remain on and thus there won't be any missed calls. The downside is that you cannot lock your SIM which some may not like. thanks alot for the info so does that happen to a lot of people frequently? anyway around it besides that...in case i lose my sim card and stuff? cheers again
