just wanna ask a question.... how to use openssh if i dont have any wifi connection at home.

can anyone give me a link that will teach me to how use openssh properly ? preferably step by step?

genocide: yes i have jailbreak-ed my phone. and i have also installed winscp and also openssh.

the reason i am asking this as i have a limit of 500mb a month for my data usage ... so i cant keep using data to download cydia apps. furthermore, my house dont have any wifi connection, instead i'm using streamyx via cable T_T.... sigh sigh sigh, if got wifi, solve all problems... deng !

i have fully charged my phone for a number of times, but at the usage area, it does not display how much time / how long have i used the iphone. it says that the usage will be shown after the iphone 3G is fully charged.

can anyone know wat is the problem ?

I just installed Iphone tunnel suite 2.7 into my pc , and when i connect it to my iphone 3G, my iphone shows that wifi is not connected, which means i cant get my IP address and i cant connect to my pc.

anyway, my phone is running on 2.2.1, is it due to this that i cant connect to my pc ?

i have tried switching on my ssh, wifi , 3G etc ... but still cant get the ip.

how am i goin 2 connect it ?

pleaseee hellllllllllllllllllppppppppppppppppp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i still cant use the iphone tunnel suite. is there any other programs that allow me to go online without switching on 3G or Wifi ?

in addition, for the Caller ID fix for iphone 3G, when i google, there are a few methods compared to the method listed in the GUIDE FOR MALAYSIA IPHONE USERS in lowyat.

iclarified suggested to use callerID fix 2.2 , meanwhile lowyat suggested to transfer the file via SSH.

which method is more safe ?

genocide: instead of using iphone tunnel suite, i use ifunbox to connect instead. it works . later when i go home i will try iphone tunnel suite again.

btw, i think i gonna get myself a wifi router next week during pc fair. save the hassle from connecting my iphone to pc ( but on the plus side, can charge my iphone ).

in addition, i think during pc fair next week, will have quite a number of booths selling iphone accessories, seeing that it is finally AVAILABLE IN MSIA.

my friend has a problem with her iphone. Her iphone is a iphone 3G US set, yellowsnow unlocked.

she cannot connect to 3G or EDGE. Is this due to her APN settings problem ?

anyway, her APN settings is :

just something i wanna ask everyone.

i am using my old pc rite now to sync my iPhone etc.

i am goin to get myself a new pc soon.

can i connect my iPhone to the new pc ? and will i lose all my contacts , data , songs etc when i sync with the new pc ?

is there any methods to not lose all my data etc ?
