Problem Encountered : Tried to upgrade f/w from 2.1 to 2.2; but end result "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1013)." Now iPhone stuck with iTunes+USB(no slide to unlock)
Steps Had Taken (list down) :
1. click restore button in iTunes(with USB and iTunes icon on iPhone); An unknown error occurred (1013)
2. click restore button in iTunes with DFU mode(black screen on iPhone); An unknown error occurred (1013)
3. uninstall/install iTunes. Normal restore/DFU; An unknown error occurred (1013)
4. format laptop, install win xp pro, video&sound driver, itunes 8.0.2.20, step 1 & 2; result, same as above
5. download f/w 2.1 from apple
6. click shift+restore button in iTunes(with USB and iTunes icon on iPhone); An unknown error occurred (1010)
7. click restore button in iTunes with DFU mode(black screen on iPhone); An unknown error occurred (1010)

Other Info / Remark : But one of the tries, can't remember how, iPhone can boot, pressed "i", it says IMEI Unknown and ICCID Unknown. Then restore; the screen never come back again.
