I've done some Google search on my problem but can't seem to find the solution yet. I'm running firmware 2.1 on my iPhone 2G and recently last night when I switch my SIM card from Singtel to Hotlink, it always can't detect my Hotlink SIM card well. Sometimes it can automatically SIM lock my card thus I had to re-enter my PIN many times. Any advice?

QUOTE(Corvinux @ Jan 17 2009, 07:27 AM) upgrade to 2.2 firmware bro The thing is even sometimes my SIM card is inside the phone, on the carrier status just show 'No SIM'. I think it has to do with the baseband. Will update to 2.2 soon. its more stable than 1.1.4 previously which is stable as well owh sometimes maxis lost signal and that happened quite frequently..and it could trigger the phone to unlocked ya phone |

Telco activated iPhone is officially unlocked while software based unlocking ones are basically those who are using iPhone that is not supported by their telco in the country. So we need to unlock using these software to remain unlocked in order to be use.

Is it just me or the brightness is quite low even when the indicator is on the word B of Brightness in your Settings. Previously, from there it's like the brightest that I can get. Auto-brightness is turned off.
By the way, running firmware 2.2 and iPhone 2G. Anyone the same? |

For those who still want to argue over iPod touch versus iPhone, just move along and don't waste your time listing what's not on the device instead of the other. The name of both devices say it all, you buy an iPod for music or media player device. You buy the iPhone for the phone and internet capabilities.
Not like you're going to buy an iPod touch an make it a mobile phone, perhaps now is different as Skype application has come to shore for both platform devices. You can only make VOIP via WiFi with the iPod touch and Skype installed and use the Apple's built in microphone headset which cause RM129. Hope that helps, but not with calling land line numbers with your iPod touch. |
