The "stick cellophane tape to make the contact between the sim card and the sim receiver in the iPhone" trick.........do it at your own risk. There had been horror stories of those opting to do this, having end up with the sim tray and/or the sim card itself refuses to come out. Dismantling anyone?

Just received the Mophie Juice Pack from Crxr just now, charging in progress.

Depending on the outcome of the upcoming iPhone TT, I will definitely bring it there for fondling and thorough inspection.

Thanks again, Crxr boss! notworthy.gif

Yup, Payback requires you to calibrate your iPhone's acceleromoter before you play. I was playing it while lying down on my back on the bed, and was wondering why the hell the screen is spinning like that. Had to properly sit back up straight then only the spinning stops. I thought I was drunk from that Pokka Ice Lemon Tea i drank before! laugh.gif

Okay okay......Long Island Ice tea then! laugh.gif

Seriously though, Pokka Ice Lemon Tea is the best among any other ice lemon tea brands in town, mamak stall version notwithstanding. I can easily drink a whole bottle in 2 sitting (lunch + dinner). Lipton's one a bit too masam and tangy to my taste, while the other brands have this "greasy" taste at the back of your tongue.

Everyone. Try getting something from iTunes now. Be it free apps, or free music. Does the error:-

QUOTE
"Store Credit Unavailable: due to a problem with the itunes store, your store credit balance is temporarily unavailable for use in purchasing music; you may continue purchasing using a different method of payment"

comes up?

Try it now. Is it just me, or is this everybody else's case as well. If it is just me, then my paranoid level just went up, probably due to the recent iTunes credit I've purchased. Help!

False alarm. Sorry for the kancheongness.

http://distorted-loop.com/2008/11/21/new-i...credit-warning/

Blame the current state of paranoia with regard to the iTunes Gift cards being sold here, that prompted me to panic unnecessarily. But seriously, imagine seeing your iTunes credit window went *poof!* right before your eyes! Wont you even kan cheong yourself?tongue.gif

False alarm, back to your TV shows, folks. tongue.gif

Rowmote or Remote?

Personally, I'd think this would only come in handy for me, when it's time for me to get a new Mac Mini, which is then connected to the TV as its monitor. Other than that, Apple's own REmote works just fine. Anyone wants to give this a try? Just USD0.99.

oic! never fiddled much with the itunes to be honest; use it primarily to synchronise my iphone

It is new, guys. Do not mistake the Genius feature with the iTunes DJ. Genius primarily scans your library and suggests new content or group together songs that are alike into a playlist, the iTunes DJ is a different beast altogether. DJ, together with the Remote app allows your guests connected to your network, to request songs within your library and spin that song instead of what's on queue in your playlist. So, imagine you're holding a party/get-together at your place, and all you're spining are instrumental classical songs in your playlist, and one of your guests wants to shake things up, he can fire up his Remote app on his iPhone, log onto your library (at your approval, of course), and switch all those slow classical songs into bun-shaking tunes like Robbie Williams' Rock DJ, for example. Turning a yawnfest into a writhing-sweaty-bodies mosh pit! rclxm9.gif

You mean Smart Playlist?

That screenshot Nokia took describes the iTunes DJ, I'm afraid. Smart Playlist have been on iTunes since 7.x already.

That's the article for the possible inclusion of the "TV Show and Movie" Genius that does not make it into this new iTunes iteration. iTunes DJ is different from that Genius feature. They were predicting the Genius feature to go beyond just "Music Genius" but that didn't happen this current update. iTunes DJ's features/function differs from Genius, as how I described earlier.

Read the update section below ... it said
Or izzit Party Shuffle = Genius Playlist? If so then forgive me, saya budak baru guna iTunes.
*
If you meant that, then you are right. Party Shuffle was available for a while, but the renaming to iTunes DJ is not just a name replacement, it integrates tightly with the Remote app. Previously, IIRC, Party Shuffle just selects your tunes at random, nothing else. This was also part of the attraction of using it with the iPod Shuffle, to randomly create a playlist to be synced over so that you'd be listening to different songs at the expense of the limited storage space.

The confusion I had was, the perception I had when you said iTunes DJ is a feature previously available, but simply renamed. Nor entirely correct since it does more than just randomizing playlists. More confusion when you posted the article on TV Show/Movie Genius. I hope this clears things. icon_rolleyes.gif

Went shopping in Akihabara, nothing much in terms of Apple stuff other than a smattering of stores here and there, and the usual Apple accessories. It's getting pretty slow business-wise, perhaps it's a sign of "things to come", a.k.a "the refresh".

Speaking of refresh, didnt reallly get enough proper sleep (arrive Narita, Tokyo at 0750, freshen up, no sleep and all, got into the Keisei+JR East line to Akihabara by 11am) to get myself fresh from bed to go to work today. And if anyone's been tuning in to the news, the Fedex plane crash in Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan,

That's Maxis' fault, it appears to be signal degradation around your area, particularly the 3G reception. Switching to non-3G/GSM only network may solve the problem.

I have the same problem with 3G coverage around my area. The switchover between 3G and GSM did'nt happen smooth enough and the iPhone registers a "no coverage", hence the "no reception" and "sim lock" popups.

DG, UGPM. IF you can incorporate the nuances of the tune I passed to you onto your next album, that would send chills down my spine. Good luck! thumbup.gif

Bro, is the Ipod USB cable compatible with Iphone 1G?

Yes, the are usable. In fact I've used the dual USB + FireWire cable long time ago to charge my iPhone, and they work the same.
