Nimbuzz

Nimbuzz lets you call, chat, message, and send photos, music and video on the go, for free. From one contact list, use your favorite features to connect with all your buddies from Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Save Money: Instead of calling minutes, Nimbuzz uses the internet to let you make free international calls to your buddies. You can also register your VoIP account to call your friends on landlines and mobile phones.

Locate your Friends: Share your location and retrieve the location of your buddies on a map. Great for arranging face to face meetings.

Make yourself heard: If your buddies are offline, let them know you’re trying to get in touch by sending them a “Buzz”. It will start Nimbuzz Mobile on their mobile phone.

Never lose your Contacts: Use the Phonebook to back up and restore your contacts. Comes in handy when you have lost your mobile phone.

does anyone has an iphone 3G dock (apart from the apple OEM's) to recommend?

i was loitering in machines, klcc yesterday and saw the griffin aircurve (selling at rm138 i think). i have some reservations about this unit for two simple reasons; the actual selling price is usd20 and machines is obviously attempting to rip me off and it doesn't look very appealing to be honest.
hence, i would recommend any sort of feedbacks from iphone lovers!
p/s  pictures are available from the link above  smile.gif

a fitz ifrogz adapter sold at machine at RM97 but when i surf their website, it only cost around USD3.99!!! i was almost ripped apart...!

QUOTE(ravin d @ Dec 9 2008, 04:10 PM)
dudes..i have this No Service problem..and can't seem to find any solution for it. I guess this fits into your "carried properly" category but my previous posts got no replies sad.gif

iPhone Generation : 1st gen
Current Firmware : 2.1
iTunes Version : 8.0.1
Computer Platform : Vista
Jailbreaking software : QuickPWN
Problem Encountered : No Service

Steps Had Taken (list down) : It's my friend's iPhone which he bought from U.S. The Problem of No Service of this 1st Gen iPhone first started after the iPhone fall from the chair while it was in his pocket. At that time the Firmware was 1.02. After that fall, the iPhone had very bad reception of signal (only 1 bar), then after a few days it only says No Service. I thought by updating the firmware to 2.1 (Update button in iTunes) would help but after updating to 2.1 (then Unlock & Jailbreak using iClarified method), the No Service is still there. I have tried 2 sim cards and I still get the same problem. For now, I guess its not the sim card as when I insert that same sim card to another phone, the signal strengh is full and I can make and receive calls. I can only assume that probably it's hardware related but thinking it was just a small fall, it shouldn't of have damage the iPhone.

Steps taken:
1. Turn on the airplane mode and turn it back off after a few seconds - result: I still get No Service
2. Restart iPhone - result: Maxis signal about 1/2 bar then after a few seconds, I get No Service.

And it has been on firmware 1.0.2 ever since the iPhone was bought from U.S and only had the No Service problem a few weeks back.

So, I thought maybe upgrading the firmware to the latest 2.1 would resolve the problem since it's running on an old firmware version.

The No Service problem happened while the iPhone firmware was 1.0.2. I upgrade the firmware from iTunes to 2.1 and I have already tried unlocking/jailbreak/activate it twice. Both times it was successful. After re-boot the iPhone, will have about 1/2 signal bar then ..No Service...

hi!
have u tried restore then download the firmware? if not, do a clean restore 1st (meaning u click the restore button and let it upgrade to 2.2FW). JB and unlock it and see what happen after.
if the problem still there, (hopefully not) we can assume its the hardware problem.....
surf the iphones for dummies forum at the 1st page and try looking at the hardware troubleshooting... there's a forumer that can help u regarding the hardware problem.....

but anything do the clean restoration 1st.... and hope the problem is not hardware problem....

btw his name is crxr (he's in US right now and will be back on the 30th Dec 2008)

*
sorry... didnt read correctly lah... how long does it last...???
if 100% fully charge i could play my ipod up to 7- 9 hours and stil have some juice to things....

calling and sms would be around half a day....(if use intensively)
if mix.. listening to ipod, playing games, and some decent calls and sms.. like me, can last around 2 days max.
