guys, im using a duo core e5200 with these specs: stock hsf asus p5-kpl motherboard 2gb ddr2 800mhz ram hd4830 (planning to get) cooler master extreme power plus 460w vista 32bit i've searched lots of forum and it seems most overclocking threads for the e5200 are the ones where they are using good hsf allowing them to reach the typical 4.0ghz speed. that's very cool but i cant afford to change the hsf. i just want to speed up the proc for free basically. so i just wanna ask u guys, what kind of oc should be done to my proc? so far i only changed the fsb, without messing with voltage or ram. now im getting 3.0ghz on stock hsf, and idle temp is 49c (40c at night), and when running prime95 for a few hours, temp reached around 70c, but still stable. should i just increase the fsb until i get the desired speed on stock hsf or should i play around with the voltage and other things? thanks in advance!

hmm 3.0ghz seems ok enough =) with stock HSF.. temps are quite high but its on the safe border =).. try playing with the voltages and ram (set 1:1 ratio).. if u wanna go higher, u'll need a better HSF, i wouldnt go anything higher than 70C on load temps

will playing with the voltage and ram increase the temp? or will it give better performance without increasing much heat? cos i think the temp is already high enough, afraid to increase more...
