My new custom :
PIT Recon Trooper As the name implies ,the PRT's primary responsibility is to patrol and perform reconnaisance on the areas surrounding the hidden PIT. Although the PIT is equipped with the latest surveillance systems ,the presence of humans patrolling the surrounding areas is necessary in case Cobra forces or other uninvited individuals make their way towards the PIT undetected. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(kerberos09 @ Apr 22 2011, 01:07 PM) nice touch there! lots of gears too Thanks bro.I like to give my customs more gear and stuff without hampering it's range of movement / articulation.OMG... i must get these: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I'll pass on the Cobra Command Center. The ROC PIT is awesome in it's design and no doubt so will the Cobra's version. My PIT is still stored in it's box, disassembled of course. For the new CCC,It'll be cooler if hasbro included rolling treads for the HISS docking bay ,activated by the pressing of a button or slider.Hence the HISS or other similar sized vehicles will assume a forward/reverse loading/unloading action ,which is more realistic IMO. Added on April 22, 2011, 4:42 pm QUOTE(FunkyMonkiBaby @ Apr 22 2011, 03:11 PM) I notice only KLCC have Joes single carded figures. Thanks bro. Cobra mobile base..sure will price similarily to Joe Pit which last minute saw price drop tremendously to RM 15X if not mistaken. Bro darkshadow, nice customisation of the Joe trooper from various other Joes/ CObra accessories. Well, considering that's what happened to the ROC PIT,I doubt Hasbro Malaysia wants a repeat incidence. So ,there's a high chance we won't be seeing the command center hitting retail. Sure wish Star Wars "kambing" receives same RM1++ clearance price. Added on April 22, 2011, 4:48 pm QUOTE(tsg @ Apr 22 2011, 03:24 PM) I would like to get the Hammerhead.Cheesy but vintage. Not into the planes though. Added on April 22, 2011, 4:52 pm QUOTE(FunkyMonkiBaby @ Apr 22 2011, 03:56 PM) Dunno if Hasbro Msia want to bring in more of the Gi Joe line...now their love is for NERF and TF3 merchandise. Unless we have pals in the uS to help us get. Summore US action figures are cheaper and they regularly have up to 50% sales. With TF3 hitting cinemas in July and the new Joes probably hit retail around July-August,Hasbro Malaysia will most likely stock up on TF figures and forsaking the Joes. The low sales of ROC toys which prompted low clearance prices is not something Hasbro tend to forget anytime soon.Plus the market demand for GI Joe in Malaysia is generally lower. QUOTE(dzirhan @ Apr 23 2011, 07:06 PM) Hate to disappoint you all but those Cobra mobile bases will not be made, the pictures are mostly concepts and mock-up of stuff that were proposed and not made/canceled. They were just shown at the convention for the interest of the fans as background material to the toyline development Well that's a shame but considering it's not one definite purchase, that's some moolah saved.Added on April 24, 2011, 10:03 pm QUOTE(jstbid @ Apr 24 2011, 12:48 PM) Simple,AV comes with shitload of accesories with proper storage for most of them.AV is based on classic 80s trooper but ST is a modern, all new figure ,with updated weapons and accesories. Buy both since they are in hot demand. This post has been edited by darkshadow: Apr 24 2011, 10:03 PM |

QUOTE(cranx @ May 13 2011, 11:15 PM) Impressive! How many Shock troopers you plan to get? I wanted to focus on troop building a single type of trooper and naturally the POC AV is my top choice. That's more than 50 of them Alley Vipers! Just wondering why some of those are not Alley Viper stands? As for the stands ,I was lazy to retrieve them from the storage box so just grabbed the nearest stands. Btw,that's quite a sizable army you've got there . |

QUOTE(jediwalker @ Jun 11 2011, 10:00 PM) wow... The left hand has tighter weapon grip compared to the right.i bought 1 of quick kick, spirit iron knife and shipwreck each... couldnt bring myself to buy doc though.... i think they r pretty neat figures.. jz too bad quickkick cant hold his sword properly... btw, can spirit iron knife hold all his accessories? If positioned properly ,he can also hold the snakes. As for Quick Kick,I agree the grip is rather loose on the katana.Perhaps manually squeezing in the fingers might produce better results. QUOTE(Odinn @ Jun 15 2011, 12:46 PM) Yes, Cycle Armor pics please Thanks for the kind words bro.And to you guys, your customs look good. Sorry I didn't comment on them earlier, I still fear cracking my Joes apart and doing customs of my own Anyway, since Skystriker is being released next month (according to BBTS), how many will you guys be getting? I've been thinking of getting 3, but settling for 2 initially (GF got mad when I said 3 The only cracking you'll be doing is on the torso.Other than that,it's pretty safe. I'd wrecked 2-3 figs trying to crack the torso open ,hence all my customs does not involve cracking. As for Skystriker, I won't be getting any.I'm more towards ground vehicles. Most likely will grab the VAMP. I saw the Cycle Armor listed on evilbay for a ridiculous pricin of over RM200 inc. shipping. Anyways, some good news on GI Joe 2 courtesy of Hisstank. * Storm Shadow will have a new look in GI Joe 2 * Lee Byung Hun will leave for the US later this month, for site preparation for GI Joe 2, which includes martial arts training. * Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow(said to be more powerful than before) are said to have more intense confrontations in the movie. QUOTE(Odinn @ Jun 15 2011, 04:07 PM) I know, you gave me pointers on how to do it..but even then, on a Neo Viper, it's a bit sad since they're part of my el-cheapo Neo Viper squad Well, it's your choice then bro.But I still suggest trying on 1 figure.God knows how many figs I had damaged in the past. And I thought you already have a Vamp and that's why you skipped the first re-release? What's the difference between the 2nd release and the initial Vamp POC wave 2 Bravo? Regarding the movie, SE with no lips = fix that sh|t already. SS with a long coat = fix this sh|t too. And more vehicles please; bring in the HISS tank!! The upcoming VAMP is a repaint of POC's version .I skipped POC's as I prefer it in green ,to match my 25th VAMP. Yeah, SS with coat was and still, is horrible ,not to mention on the action figure,it hindered SS's leg movement. |

QUOTE(dequadin @ Jun 15 2011, 07:04 PM) Hi..want to ask..if dont crack open the torso then how to paint that area?? Avoid moving the chest area then . last time i try to paint my figure but the chest movement scratch out my paint job...got any tutorial to settle this?? But seriously,I have not encountered paint chipping on the chest area.On the joints ,yes but not the torso. Once you crack the torso apart ,it won't fit back properly. There's a chance the fig is damaged. This post has been edited by darkshadow: Jun 15 2011, 08:07 PM |

QUOTE(dequadin @ Jun 16 2011, 10:16 PM) sorry, bad english.. i mean the joint between the chest and abs area.. That is the area I was referring to.heard that they repaired the damage using putty..which need a lot of sanding job to be done... lol..even opening those part is hard enough to me.... It's not easy to crack it open without damaging it in some way,at least that's my experience. But for normal poses, that area won't be revealed and if your fig is wearing a vest, it's not necessary to paint it. And yeah, applying putty works to seal the crack lines. Some of you might be wondering why I purchased 13 Quick Kick.
It's bcoz I realise the potential for an easy and very cheap new trooper custom - Cobra Neo Ninjas. Furthermore,I have over a dozen Neo Vipers lying inside my discarded pile (Yeah I hate ROC Neo Vipers. Not just the head, but the vest, gloves, shorter legs, backpack and guns.).Didn't want to buy any if possible but they were packed with other figs. The Neo Ninjas are carefully selected from among the best Neo Vipers. They are equipped with enhanced speed, agility and strength ,along with ninjitsu training by Storm Shadow. Their purpose : to eliminate the G.I. Joe Ninja Force and especially Snake Eyes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
