Here's another of my new custom.

I like CC with the trench look as it portrays him as a meaner ,darker ,no-nonsense type of man.

I gave him two belts ,one with holster and the other ,without (worn together with the coat).

The figure is a simple part swap but the coat required some adjustments .

New haul. biggrin.gif

Will be getting Duke and SS later.

POC Wave 3 Mini Review
----------------------------

Snake Eyes

The Good
-----------

- Comes with a shitload of accesories ,perhaps the most in history of 3 3/4" line of figures.
- Alternate visor head ,twin silencers ,removable knee pads thumbup.gif ,two knife sheathes with accompanying
knives (POC BH ,do take note).
- Has storage for majority of his weapons.
- Sports a new vest with elastic suspenders.
- Comes with two interchangeable modes ,ninja and commando.

The Bad
---------

- Lack of holster for his secondary pistol and silencer.
- Hip joints are slightly looser ,compared to the other POC figures.

Verdict
--------

CS SE couldn't hold a candle to this version of SE ,but that's my opinion.
He's basically a two for one figure ,where with simple switching ,SE alters between his ninja and commando personality (even his card refers to him as NINJA COMMANDO).
There is so much good things about this figure so only one thing for me to say, BUY IT!

Note
===

Be careful with the silencer as it's tiny and easily gets lost .In fact, I accidentally dropped mine to the floor while taking a shot of SE and couldn't find the darned thing.

Shock Trooper

The Good
-----------

- Comes with 3 piece helmet (helmet ,goggles and gas mask) and a slew of weapons.
- Shield is a new accesory.
- Features swivel / hinge left wrist but regular right wrist.
- There's some paint applied on both the machine gun and assault rifle.

The Bad
---------

- Lots of weapons but no storage for any of them .WTF?
- Lack of pistol holster (molded or working) on his right thigh.
- Loose goggles (it's 25th Anni Viper deja vu all over again).

Verdict
--------

I don't know what the hype is all about regarding the Shock Trooper .To me ,he is just unimpressive.
I hate the face mask extending down to his neck .Am gonna trim off the excess bit later.

wow shock troopers!
when are we going to get these in malaysia?   drool.gif

darkshadow, as usual awesome review with clear and nice pictures.  thumbup.gif  demand different poses for both of them.  notworthy.gif

*how does the elastic suspender for snake eyes work? do you cut it off from the vest?  hmm.gif
*
Thanks! At least someone is still reading and appreciating my reviews. tongue.gif

The suspenders are glued into the vest and I had to peeled them off.Cutting will also work but you wont remove them completely.

Yeah, when will we get wave 3..I bought these as a little insurance in case Wave 3 never made it to Malaysia.
Remember the incident with ROC wave 4 no-show at all and the shortage of wave 5?

OK ,as per requests ,here are more pics..Enjoy!

First off, a couple of comparison shots.

Alley Viper and Shock Trooper.Yeah he towers over Alley Viper but remember that AV was based on the 25th DOCI figure and 25th figures are mostly shorter than POC.

I know some of you might be asking if ST's the same height as FF and indeed he is.

Yesterday ,I mentioned that SE comes in two modes ,ninja and commando.
That's the reason the kneepads are removable.

Damn you and your new toys...damn you!!!!~~~~

But really man, I envy you now with the new SE. Close up pics of him does make him look a lot more better than the initially released pic. You have the haul of the month  flex.gif

And I did notice the suspenders missing in your first pic of him, thought you'd cut it. Why not loop it around his leg like some of the pics online for extra storage capacity?

My haul will probably come next month once I return from CNY holiday..still waiting for my World of Warcraft figure to be available  sweat.gif

Again, awesome awesome haul and nice review as always  notworthy.gif
*
Hmm, do I detect a huge dose of jealousy there?

You'll be getting yours pretty soon man.And you will be amazed and awed by SE.I know I do.
And just owning 1 Wave 3 SE is simply not enuf.

As for the suspenders, it's my intention to remove it from at least 2 of the SE.
I think SE has more than enuf weapons on him. He's a ninja commando ,too much stuff impedes his movement.

And ,big THANKS for the kind words. biggrin.gif

Thanks bro.
well, still no news from Hasblow M'sia or my sources. sigh...
damn shame on losing one potential hunting ground.

As for Luke ,I wanted a group of citizens in demonstration ,hence some figures in civvies are needed for the shot.

The side-by-side shot of FF and the ST shows the ST to be cacatic; his arm connects lower to his shoulder. This makes it look like his neck is longer than it should be imo.  hmm.gif
*
"cacatic" - is that a new word ? hmm.gif tongue.gif
Instead of having both shoulders being parallel with the lower neck line ,they're both sloped downwards resulting in both arms placed slightly downwards .
Now the reason for this is due to the face mask covering up the entire neck .

btw, just done cleaning up my collection of G.I.Joe figs last night, & was thinking to sell some of it. For those interested, do check out my sales thread ya  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
wow ,clearing away your Joes eh?
Your Sigma 6 SE is which version?
Not selling any POC AVs?

as for buying Joes ,our best bet are either evil-bay or online shops.be prepared to pay a premium for those hot figures.

it's a damn shame that Hasblow M'sia is probably delaying or completely not bringing in the subsequent waves.

it has rubber tyre and fits most of 3" figures, feels good to own one  brows.gif

the ST image was taken from the net n hosted locally,dang!...i wish it is mine sweat.gif
*
Aiyah bro ,for a moment you had me excited on ST hitting local toy shops .
I like the A-Team van .How many GI Joe figures can you fit in there?
The ROC Steel Crusher has less storage space for figures but it look sleeker .
Post some A-Team van pics to poison us!

My long awaited and expensive haul cry.gif has finally arrived. rclxm9.gif
Comprising some Joes and non-Joes ,I'm posting those military related figures only.
The remaining haul is posted on my Action Figures 4" thread.

These guys are gonna act as Green Shirts for my Joes team.

Comes with a number of accesories including 2 pairs of kneepads and the head can be swapped with some GI Joe heads.
Also possess quite a number of articulation but my only gripe is the loose holster grip.

Platoon Vietnam War figures

The figures do lack some necessary articulation like ball jointed elbows and double jointed/ double hinged knees.

Are you referring to the US Army figure ?If yes ,then the figure can hold the rifle and baretta with no problems .
Only thing is the pistol holster does not have a proper grip when storing the baretta .

Now in addition to US marines in desert camo ,I have US Army for city strike and defense purpose .

Sadly ,still no news on wave 3 .

Some breaking news from Toy Fair 2011...

2012 will be the 30th Anniversary of the Joe Vs Cobra mythos. A lot of things happening in 2012 so they are starting earlier to celebrate. 30th for 35th. 30 items celebrating this landmark anniversary, 12" are back as well. Brand New look, it will be tightly focused for collectors.

- The 12" figures will be kid targeted and be more military not Joe Vs. Cobra oriented.

- Hasbro has listened to fans on the 3.75 line-up for this line.

- Look for a new look for the line, G.I.Joe, Cobra, Renegades will be in one assortment but the differences in the line will be reflected on the cardbacks. So you will know which ones are Renegades.

- Haek, Cobra Trooper looks to be female from the image shown, Steel Brigade, Blowtorch, Jungle BAT and Cobra Commander will be in wave 3 Spring and be on the POC cardbacks. These look like ARAH figures except for Hawk. Lots of accessories.

- Wave 1 of Fall will see the debut of Renegades. Firefly, Techno Viper, Hazard Viper, Cobra Commander, Snake-Eyes and Duke. These will not be done in animated style like say Clone Wars. So they match the animated stylings but using the existing tools though they are creating new tools as well. Basically they will have the costumes of Renegades but be done in 25th/POC style.

- Vehicles Black Dragon Vtol, Crimson Hiss Tank, Vamp.

- 25th Anniversary style Skystriker will be on shelves Fall 2011. Looks like the original. Comes with ACE. It is retooled. It will hold 1 figure, not 2 because they couldnt make it to hold 2 of the new figures. No Parachute either.

- Comic Con will be a Transformers/GIJoe Starscream Skystriker with Cobra Commander and Megatron blaster. Doesn't Transform, just a redeco of the regular Skystriker.

- There will be more stuff for this 30 for 35th anniversary line later this year.
