Anyone here using the Osis Session spray? I'm having problems with mine whereby the nozzle keeps getting clogged. I took it out to wash, after that it is ok but the next day it gets clogged again. Any tips on how to avoid this?

just started using this, very good hold. didnt stumble with this problem though u might want to shake harder to avoid it clog, and always clean the nozzle if u see any leftover.

Weird. Mine always sprayed perfectly up until yesterday. Just happened all of a sudden.

Mine clogged too.. Im gonna change brand soon. Session spray hold is ok, smells good. But it causes acne outbreak for me. Sigh

Mine doesn't cause me acne since it's quite dry. But maybe I will look for something else when I finish this also cause of the nozzle problem.

Guys, anyone knows where I can find a boar bristle hair brush? Seems like not many places selling this. Mostly synthetic bristles only..

Also anyone tried petroleum based pomades? Is it really impossible to wash out with normal shampoo?

i only used suavecito.... both the normal and the firme hold... both not really up to my expectation. once u style it, it stays there and ur hair becomes hard... just like a gel. normally if wanna restyle it back have to use comb mixed with a little water with it and restyle back but it wont hold as firm as it used to.

personally i think suavecito is more or less like a gel. the best waterbased pomade i tried is shiner gold. at least u can restyle it back a bit frequently than suavecito and the hold is better.

however i do recommend u to use petroleum based pomade because the hold is totally different from WB pomade. and u can restyle it anytime u want.

i cant say for layrite... never used it before.

Is petroleum based ones very difficult to wash out? Do you notice any additional hair dropping while using the petroleum one? Any acne breakout while using the petroleum one?

I'm using water based one now and thinking to switch to petroleum one. Also when I apply the pomade on my hair I can see like hair being pulled out and stick on my palms. Maybe like 10-15 strands or more. Do you also have this or is it only me?

yes they are very difficult to wash out... but there's a trick to easily wash out the pomade. hair droppings? sure my hair falls alot but so does when i use wax or any other hair product. as for acne... the face might be a bit oily but luckily i got one tough skin so seldom acne on my face even using the petroleum based pomade.

anyhow.... when u apply the pomade if i may ask?
*
You mean how I apply the pomade? I just rub on my palms (using suavecito but it hardens and during hot day my small pomp falls) and then apply it all over my hair. As I'm applying it I can see hair sticking all over my palm.

Oh, what trick do you use? Dishwash? Do you wash it out everyday or leave it in for few days? I kinda have thin hair so I'm worried if any products would make my hair thinner. lol.

Do u apply it on a dry hair or dry towel hair (damp hair)?
The trick? Use conditioner. Apply the conditioner but dont wash or wet ur hair. Just apply it directly, rub it so the conditioner cover all the surface of ur hair. Wait for a couple of minutes. Then wash down the conditioner. After that u can use shampoo to wash ur hair. It worked for me and trust me, my shimere pomade is one of the toughest to wash but using this techique i was able to get rid the pomade on my hair.

Yeap i do leave it for 2-3 days using grandads pomade, but not with shimere.

I apply mostly on dry hair last time. Lately I would apply on slightly damp hair (blow dry till its just a little damp) too which makes it somewhat easier to comb through. But I don't really like the hardness and most of the times it will flake and drop my pomp to the side.

Oh I've never heard of the conditioner trick before. It sounds so much better and easier than using dishwash soap which many people recommends. The dishwash technique have to use fine tooth comb to comb out the pomade also. Thanks for the idea man!

This is the hair style that I'm looking to achieve. For this I used wax (gatsby pink moving rubber) + hair spray. But somehow I start disliking Gatsby, it's hard to wash off and bad for my hair I guess. Any other products to achieve this hairstyle? U guys think Suavecito Firme Hold can achieve this hair style? hmm.gif

Yeah man. Definitely pomade can. But for me Suavecito dries up a little hard for my liking. Love the smell though.

mind share how much do you guys apply? perhaps a photo or wat...

i do think i apply quite alot suavecio pomade compare to other hair product that i use before..

and do your hair wet? tower dry? or dry? hmm.gif
*
I leave my hair slightly damp. When its damp it makes it easier to comb and hardens a little more compared to dry application. If its too wet it would be difficult to style because it only holds when the water dries. Regarding how much I use, I usually scoop 1 finger and spread around my hair, comb my side parting then apply a little more to the front (and sometimes side to keep it more slicked) while forming a pomp. So about 2 fingers worth.

Maybe I'll include a pic the next time I use if I remember. I'm not using suavecito anymore though.
