Would u willing to try grease thne sir? The only main problem is grease is kinnda hard to wash (well it is pertoleum based) however it'll keep the hair not so wavy. Most watedbase will curled back once its harden or for some kind of period.
Ive tried layrite superhold and it hold my hair quite well then after some odd hours it'll start wavy again. Hahaha. I guess i need to live with it or in any case if i really want a product to hold my hair well i'll choose a petroleum based. Still it'll be wavy but the good thing is u can always restyle it. As for waterbased such as shiner gold u need to apply a tiny bit of water and start restyling back.

so u want a slick back? pomade will do a good job of that but u can try and looking for a pomade specially made for slick back. i have a pomade made by lockheart (collab with gonzo malaysia) that is specially for slick back and its damn good. however it comes in pair. one is pomp styling and one is for slick back. oh and its petroleum based too...

yeah sure why not but one thing for sure, ur forehead will be covered with the pomade of course... 

for that kind of hairstyle why dont u try wax or non cream hair product? last time i did the "beatle style" i didnt use any hair product. thou i guess u can use hair spray to make the hair stays.

Depends on your hair.quicksand for me gives volume and hold without looking like i have product in my hair.its very light

If your hair can make wavy hair style without any product then get quicksand for the hold

I currently just use quicksand and its suitable for me coz it has above average hold without weighing down my hair and can be adjusted throughout the day.worth the money for me

Tried by vilain gold digger,strong hold but too heavy for my hair and has funky smell(quicksand also has weird smell but smells more 'natural' to me)

Today just tried out this hair gel. Just need about 50cents size of gel amt to create natural look.

Non-oil formula makes it easier for cleaning.

Short review of these hair products that I have been using:



1) HDF Claymation & Quicksand: Quicksad gives very good volume to my hair and the texture is just out of this world... the hair feels "sandy" when using it. Claymation gives good sculpting power.

They are both great for that matte look and better than most wax out there. However one thing that really put me off from using Quicksand is the smell. It smells too "mineral-ish", for lack of better words it smells like rock if you have ever been to a quarry before but amplify 10 times. The smell is definitely a bit too powerful for me.

A little review of what I'm using


Previously,I was using Gatsby moving rubber.
Encounter a few problems while using it.
1. Super duper hard to wash.
2. Super greasy at the end of the day.
3.Ultra sticky.

Nevertheless I continue using it because the styling strength is good.
Then i bought this hair jam.
I like it. Never encounter any problems I mentioned above.
It's very easy to wash off,contains powder to absorb sebum and your hair would not get greasy at the end of the day in this hot humid weather and less sticky compare to the rubber.
And it's cheap.
only tried the black one.
Next time I will buy the red. 

I've tried HDF Quicksand, Scheme Cream, Claymation, and Sponge Wax for my fine hair. Quicksand and Scheme Cream are good, but the other two offers very little hold for me and bog down my hair.

I only have a Scheme Cream sample though, and it looks like it is out of stock everywhere in Malaysia. Anyone can point me to a local source that has in stock? Buying from HDF directly has hefty shipping fees.

Or is there another product out that is similar to Scheme Cream? Something that is light, goes on easy, does not weigh down the hair at all, medium hold with a bit of natural shine?
