What is DaiCon?

DaiCon is EMiNA's major ACG event for this year, focusing on all aspects of Japanese Modern Visual Culture from anime, manga, games, J-Pop, J-Rock, cosplay, figurines, doujinshi and much much more. We aim to cater to everyone with an interest in Japanese modern visual culture, so there will be something for everyone, from the cosplayers and doujin artists down to the casual gamers and J-drama fans.

2. We are proud to announce that Macross Fans Malaysia is joining DaiCon and they will be conducting an exhibition of Macross merchandise in DaiCon. A not to be missed opportunity for Macross fans in Malaysia!

3. Persatuan Weiqi Malaysia will be conducting a GO Adventure in DaiCon. Yes, it's the "Go" from Hikaru no Go. If you've ever wanted to learn more about Go or looking for like-minded people interested in Go, you can do so in DaiCon!

We are proud to announce a special guest to DaiCon, Chihara Minori! Miss Chihara is a prominent singer and voice actress and she will be conducting a Q&A Panel on Saturday, 11th July and a Mini-Concert on Sunday, 12th July.

Starting from the 1st until the 3rd of May, DaiCon Committees will be joining the EMiNA Cyber Roadshow held at One Utama Highstreet Haha no Hi event. Activities slated there include cosplay photoshoots, displays of Japanese Modern Visual Culture materials (manga, anime, magazines, figurines and many more) as well as free merchandise giveaways courtesy of Animax-Asia and ASTRO.

But that's not all! We're also holding a sneak preview ticket sales for Miss Chihara Minori's appearance in DaiCon. Don't miss this special early bird sales at our roadshow!

2. Gundam Caravan - During DaiCon, we'll be giving out FREE Gundam model kits from our very own Gundam Caravan! Only limited units available on both days, so better be quick!

3. Great Wall of Gashapon - Also, in DaiCon, we'll be having a wall-ful of gashapon machines with the latest sets from Suzumiya Haruhi to Gundam 00. Gasha to your delight in DaiCon!

How is there going to be J-Rock in the event? Any bands performing?

We will be announcing that shortly. Most probably inviting some local bands here to perform.
