Hey guys,

It seems nokia started replacing the earpieces on the 5800 with one from a different supplier.  I have not had any problems with my ear piece but maybe i should go change mine (that is if they have the stock from the new supplier).  Check this out

Maybe we should all change our ear pieces to the new one.

The 4 application shortucts at the top are gone for me.
And my dialer or contacts shortcuts at the bottom arent working
The phone only works when I change the home screen theme to 'Contacts'
On basic and shortcut it doesnt work
I tried a factory reset and taking out the mem card, same problem

Any suggestions?!

i had try all the themes...still doesnt work..it happend after i transfer some music (using nokia music) and transfer some photos (mass storage) to my Tube.

shud i remove my memcard first?
all my file in the hp will be gone then...

i oredi hard reset my Tube, but its askin for a lock code..

I upgraded firrmware to V20.

I satisfied with two things and regret with one thing.

First, Now I can use every FONTS I want..

V11 uses s60sc.ccc font which can't edit.

V20 uses TTF font that can edit and put more extra font on it..

Someone asking Thai font.. You get Thai font for any TTF not only for Nokia phone... Windows or Microsoft office also OK.

Can edit the font in Nokia with Font Creator 5.6

Im using English, Chinese, Korean and Japanes together.

Unfortunately, opera mini only support the fonts for internet.

integrated explorer not support. BUT songs name and movie title or others will work.

Second, every improvement they mentioned earlier.

Battery life, menu speed, menu size, auto rotate, WIFI speed.

internet really fast with OPERA mini 4.3 version (personally edited)
One thing... Im not lucky with MY LCD...changing colour sometimes..

LCD colour change problem.. I just got 10 mins ago...

it's got nothing to do with dropping phone or not. NCC has confirm it's LCD problem.

How to changes or add extra language font??
If you open Z: drive with Y browser

You can find fold z:\resource\fonts

V11 has 3 fonts files as name as S60SC.ccc, S60TCHK.ccc and S60ZDIGI.ttf

V20 has S60SC_C.ttf, S60TCHK_C.ttf and S60ZDIGI.ttf
your computer has windows fonts which are name as ****.ttf

V11 IF you want to use different font on your tube ****.ttf change to S60SC.ccc and S60TCHK.ccc and make

folder on your memory card E:\resorce\fonts and copy the 3 fonts file to the new folder.
But V20, no more ccc font files.

You can directly edit the font files bcoz they are ****.ttf type. use program Font Creator 5.6 to edit the font.

But the edited font file can't copy to Z: drive. must copy to memory card E:\resorce\fonts if you open with pc suite cannot see resorce

folder. you open with mass storage or use memory card reader.

what i have noticed is that before i went to v20, everything was fine. i bought my tube with 2 more friends, bought same time from same place. 3 units. 1 blue and 2 red.

one blue and one red i updated to v20, same time after flash and reboot, both got lcd color issue. the other red tube that i didnt update dont have the lcd color issue till now... still on v11 though. 

it definately is sw issue imho. how do you explain the red tube that i didnt update the firmware to v20 that is still fine ?   

but anyway, its nokia's tube, and if they say its h/w issue then it is i guess. maybe admitting its a h/w fault is easier than saying its s/w issue since they can put the blame on the oem lcd manufacturers.   

now i feel like listening to akon's blame it on me... blame it on me...   

im wondering the ppl who update with NSU has lcd problem.. instead of usb and phoenix

walao....reading from previous few pages....ppl still face problems with their tube wo....like this how to have confidence to buy oh?

ya i never like SE phones compared to nokia...SE has only 262k colors (beside Idou)...nokia has 16m..screens wif 16m color is a big difference from 262k one

I know a lot of you are searching for the perfect case for your tube. Well I have been through it all.  Wasted RM80 on the invisible shield.  Then, bought a pouch (which I find annoying to use).  Then I bought a cheaper silicone case off ebay.  And finally I received this baby today.

It cost about RM70+ plus shipping to Malaysia.  Money well spent   Also it took about 6 days to arrive after I purchased the item.

Which mall? For future reference of all the tubians?
