i cant tell u easy or what... but few things that super converter capable of:

1.Conversion from any video and i mean everything including MKV and other HD video to your desire format

2. it's totally free

3. able to customize your video framerate and audio rate and almost everything in the video...

Added on March 11, 2009, 1:07 amerm.... it's not safe.. better get developer certificate to sign ur application

reason i picked super converter over free zune is because of the ability to customize all the settings of the video, and also the ability to convert every single video format you can find on internet.... eg. MKV, OGG and some other rare codec that are being used in HD 720 or 1080 video.... sometimes free zune doesnt allow you to convert all those rare format video...

i still testing

but before you convert the video you'll need to check your source video information first..... eg... if your first video bitrate is 512, then your output video must not put more than that... if you do so... then there's a possibility your output data is not as good....

Added on March 11, 2009, 1:19 am@table, j-slade: i'm still testing how to give a best quality and pull the last juice out of our tube for highest quality video.... but i'm pretty sure the setting differ since every single video have different bitrate...

@j-slade trust me... all different video should use differnt setting... you set to max resolution, but your source is at lower resolution, i can guarantee you'll get back the same quality but at a bigger size... therefore must check all different video for different settings....

I understand this concept but well the output should by right be 640x360 right? and audio okay I always keep it low at 128kbps only. Frame rate? Standard 25fps. The only thing to fiddle is the video bitrate... so how much lower should it go?

let me explain something thru my years experience in pc video converting:

1. Bitrate = the quality of the video, how tiny is the dot in your movie similiar to what we have as our desktop resolution, so for easy understanding i would say Bitrate = Video resolution

2. Resolution = it actually represent how big is the actual size of the video... you can have 1920 x 1080 size video in your tube, but if you have the bitrate of 64 then you can go die.. cuz the quality sux badly....

3. Framerate = how many frame is played per second, higher framerate meaning bigger filesize but smoother transition in the video... it goes like this: if you have 1FPS meaning 1 frame per second, your video will be like a slide show... switch picture every 1 second, but if you have 20FPS then you will have 20 pictures switched in 1 second.

so when it comes to setting: (if you play on your tube without streaming on TV)

1. Bitrate = less than 256kbps
2. Resolution = 320 x 180 (since this is the actual size of your tube)
3. Framerate = 25 or below, 20 or above (i noticed some minor lag when i use 30fps)
4. Audio bitrate = 64k (you dont need such high quality sound if you're playing on your tube, since it wont make significant difference.)
5. Output format = *.*MP4, Video codec: Mpeg-4, audio codec: AMR or FLAC

above is setting is for long lasting playing duration, smaller filesize and optimal quality for almost every video... *note: above setting not suitable for streaming via TV

if you are streaming on TV, later part after i finish my guide.. i'll post it up...
