cjlai: hmm seems u not focus at the eye...have u ever manage to get KM 17-35 f2.8-4?? as i know, gula&susu had this lens before sold to hanafinoor...this lens sharp at wide open...*p/s: if u manage to get this, let me know...thinking to get it IF the price is good.....btw, loving the MIR-1V...but need to send to clean..have dust inside the lens but not effect the picture though...

are u sure the dust is on ur sensor?? or it is on ur lens perhaps??

send it to Sony Service Center at Midvalley...they will do it for you for free (if your cam still under warranty la..)
or u can try clean it by urself using sensor clear pen...but im not recommended...

or ur blow at the wrong place??
IINM, i think it should be upside down...etc, if ur dust appear in the upper left picture, then u should blow at the lower left...
give it try...hope this help...

be careful, there are two types of lenspens, 1 is use to clean the lens and another one is use to clean the sensor..
so buy the lenspen to clean the sensor...
or u can send it to sony service center...

im at gebeng, kuantan rite now...monday till thurdays i will be here (gebeng) and friday to sunday at KL...
friday kena masuk ofis KL thats why i will be at KL on friday till sunday...monday morning about 4-5am go back to gebeng...

just wanna take out the mounting of the lens...
and try to install and replace it to one of my M42 lens...
if successful, then i will make the mounting itself...using ur lens mounting as masterpiece...
easier...no need adapter anymore...
just noob thinking....

ops...then i should wait till the warranty over la like that...

i dont know how to tell u guys..
it just my idea though...
need to see and hold the mounting itself then i will know whether it can be done or not...

i wont mod the original mount, i will take it out, measure it and manufacturer a new one..
that's all....but seems ur lens still under warranty, i dont want la...
u still can claim for warranty...

IINM. not all M42 same la...not all M42 lens have screw at the mount...

here my step for my #2 pic:
1. Set a camera in tripod. camera in M mode. no wireless flash setting. flash setting in camera OFF!
2. Set aperture around F8-F11, shutter speed 10-20 seconds (depends on your situation), manual focus and set focus to infinity.
3. Flash (F36/F42/F56/F58) on and fire it by yourself by pressing the TEST button.
4. Flash power and flash zoom depends on yourself. less power looks more ghosting. mine, i use 1/4 or 1/2, zooms at 35.

make sure dont fire the flash toward your camera directly. and make sure dont ever get in the frame. that's all.

for my #1 pic, need F56 or F58 ONLY!
1. attach ur F56/F58 to ur camera. camera in M mode (5-10sec, F8-F11). AF will do this time.
2. Set flash to multiple (burst) mode. power 1/8, 10 times, frequency 10Hz (power, sequence and frequency depends on yourself).
3. then snap.

signature?? use photoshop..open ur picture, select type tool, type in your signature (use font yg u suke), adjust opacity if needed..done!
framing?? use photoshop..open ur picture, go to image-->canvas size...tick relative and set ur width and height as u want...and select the extension canvas color...
this is just one of the method...
