QUOTE(Zeegon @ Mar 7 2009, 02:14 PM)
Guys, i got a problem.
In my a200, i previously used a 4gb cf. I changed it to a 8gb cf yesterday.
Today, when I turn on my camera, the part where it shows how many more pictures i can take until i fill up my memory, was - - - -
And it takes a few seconds to show how many i can take.
And everytime, when i on my camera, my first picture will take longer to process.

Is this normal?
*
I'm using Scandisk 8gb but i don't see that error.

Okie try this few steps.
- have you formatted the cf card ?
- try shooting in raw. does the number appear again ?

PS: I have 133x Kingston and 266x Scandisk... the price of paying for the speed can be seen.

Format, no.
Now I can see the number when I on it.
But it still takes sometime until the red light indicator is gone.
*
recommended to use camera to format the card. <DO NOT USE PC TO FORMAT CF CARD>

Reading is bcos of the memory card speed. Don't panic... go out and play with Scandisk 266x then you know is just bcos of the speed. Nothing to worry.

i read your post on other forum. It just happen to be that they are not favouring the zeiss mainly because of its price tag, while they also felt zeiss power is on par or can be surpassed with other alternatives. Zeiss seems not appealing to them so no big deal bro, this is their preferrence, don't take it too personally. There are also happy zeiss users around...
*
Hmmm they should also see Zuiko high-end lense... biggrin.gif

Its a great lense but go see the price for yourselves.

you using a 300mm lense ... "sometimes" will be bit soft at the far end. you might want to try 200mm.

D stands for digital, G stands for Gold, G lens is premium grade compared to D lens.
*
Tanjq
Correction ... "D" lens is a lense has an distance encoder function for ADI to work with.

The "DT" lens is the Digital Technology is the 1 that optimize for digital camera (aps-c)

QUOTE(albnok @ Mar 10 2009, 03:45 PM)
My friend was driving, and his A700 was in the Crumpler 7 Million, on the front seat. He suddenly braked hard because a car swerved in front of him.

The bag rolled forward onto the floor. The A700's screen was facing upwards.

Later that night he discovered that it had cracked. The Crumpler bag was padded everywhere except the top!

Moral of the story:

1) fasten the seatbelts even for your camera bag
2) don't put the screen upwards in a 7 Million
3) put some padding, perhaps a shirt, in the top flap
*
yup ... but you can change the padding inside the crumpler to protect it.

that what i did.

btw, you guys will be going on 28 or 29?
any TT held after the thing?
*
Ah virtual...for the CPL... turn while looking in the viewfinder...

try it on glass , water reflections or light... you will notice something

Okie for example... you call somebody to sit inside a car. The reflection exist if you standing outside the car. So in order to snap the person inside you can use CPL to reduce the reflections.
