guys, i just bought the a300 twins lens package yesterday , the shop offered me sigma 70-300 DG macro for the other lens instead of the sony ori 55-200mm.

sony 55-200mm, add rm470
sigma 70-300mm dg macro , add rm580, they said normal price is rm999

is it worth for the sigma?

it is worth to get the SAL55200..

sigma 70-300 got issues about its gear..and SAL55200 is way better and sharper than sigma 70-300

not worth gear slip issues happens a lot on the sigma

since it havent register thru http://mysony.sony.com.my so it wont consider as a mysony member,but the warranty already started from the date of purchase according to the receipt or proof of purchase

u still have to put in a purchase date even u select it's a gift

yup,they will know estimated date when this item is being purchased from which reseller

why is it my serial no stated as invalid can't be registered at mysony?

went to a futsal tourney in sports planet subang grand today.. both kit lenses were useless for indoor futsal

i think i already know what i need.. a f/2.8 lens to cover indoor futsal/event.. tele f/2.8 still can wait as i can still have enough light to cover outdoor soccer using the kit lens.. furthermore, 70200 would be too tight for futsal (what i'm really into right now).. so maybe what i need is 1750.. 1635 and 2470 is not in my budget anyway

but i want a 50mm, for portraiture and bokehmaniacs.. f/1.4 would be more useful in low light than f/2.8, but fixed focal length would make it unsuitable for sports photography

still 'need' would win over 'want' aite?? what do you guys reckon??
