wheeps~

I'm getting my puppy in 2 or 3 weeks time since she is only 3 weeks old now. The breeder told me she's salt and pepper, but her hair is rather brownish and there is a black stripe on her back that leads way end to her tail. Is the hair suppose to be like that at the baby stage? rclxub.gif

the breeder told me to bring her home 1st, after 1 week only go for 1st jab. i told her to pass the puppy to me after her 1st jab, she said that at that time the puppy will more likely to attach to her since the puppy will be like 3 months old at that time.

I'm very worried because this is my first time, friend did told me that it's safer to take the puppy after the 1st jab. help =/ icon_question.gif

Hmmm.....that sound strange...cos breeder is not supposed to sell puppy less than 6 weeks - that's when they are weaned.  Else it will be quite handful, cos my fren got a puppy at 4 weeks and it doesn't have teeth yet so it needs special care like eating only soft food and feeding it 3 - 4x a day. In fact, if i'm not mistaken, puppy is still  blind at 3 weeks, they only opened their eyes at about 4 weeks old.

And puppy is SUPPOSED to have their 1st jab at about 5 weeks (some will do it at 4 weeks to get it out fast) and subsequently, once a month for 3x.  So by 3 months, its usually vaccinated and can bring it out already.  You should ideally take the puppy at 7 - 8 weeks.  Being away from its mother at too young age is not very healthy cos it isn't weaned yet and for emotional reasons.

Ya, some puppy got black strip down its back, will grow out of it later.
*
so do you mean puppies at 8 weeks old should be jab-ed alr? cause she say if i want to take the puppy after first jab then will be like 3 months old alr (after jab must stay with her for 2 or 3 weeks)

and if i take the puppy at the 7th week, i will need to bring the puppy for jab rclxub.gif

or i just dont care about the 3 months old issue and let the puppy to stay with her for the jab thingy shocking.gif

i'm sorry if it sounds weird to you. the puppy is now 3 weeks old.

here are the options the breeder gave me:

1. i bring the puppy at 6 weeks old. after 1 or 2 weeks i will need to bring the puppy to her designed vet's place for vaccination.

2. i bring the puppy home after the first vaccination. BUT by then the puppy will be about 3 months old because she needs 2 or 3 weeks to supervise the puppy after the vaccination. The puppy will attach to her and so she does not encourage me to take this option.

she seemed a little frustrated when i asked to take the puppy ONLY after the first vaccination. whenever i raise this issue she will tell me the same thing again and again, which is "by that time the puppy will attach to me already!" she say until i also a bit afraid of her, she talks very loud and i'm not good in debating. sad.gif

so my question here is, does it really matter to take the puppy at 3 months old although the puppy starts to attach to her? and how old can the puppy can go for vaccination? she promised that she will give 9in1 jab. the payment is on HER and just the matter of whether I MYSELF or HER take the puppy for vaccination.

oh, and she says microchip before vaccination rclxub.gif

sobs, i'm so sad today!
i brought ginger went grooming, and see what happened.....
Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image
look at her ear.. cry.gif i feel so sorry to her

i went to this groomer because at first, my breeder's husband is suppose to groom her for me, since she promised me a free cut when i bought ginger for her. but morning when i called her, she said that her husband's leg is injured then she reffer me to this groomer.

i'm not statisfied with the groomer's service.
1. at first ginger fell down from the grooming table when he's grooming
2. he shove until ginger's ear bleed then he scolded ginger!! mad.gif

i was so pissed and i called my breeder in front of him. after i hang up then the guy told me to bring ginger to vet with him and he pays the bill.
i followed him to the vet and the vet gave ginger a jab, and gave me 2 bottles of iodin ask me go back and dab it on her ear twice a day.
i'm so worry.. she's so moody now..

please advice me on what else i can do. icon_question.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

p/s: i miss the fluffy her. looks cute with my spec on. cry.gif

Hi people, sorry i dont know how to use the quote function. =@

I'd reply using the lame way sweat.gif

>kerrie
When she first came home, she was like very tired and move lesser than she used to be. But after dinner she begun to run and jump like usual, what a relief. rolleyes.gif

>Ollie
Sorry i'm bad at memorizing the road names sweat.gif , but i know where chew thian yang is. The place you mentioned, is it just opposite the ctw's carpark? That day i went to buy toys for ginger and when i drove out, i saw a banner hanging at the opposite. Is that the one? I'll give it a try next time. I swear I won't go back to the shop again. Ever. I go to Angsana at farlim, since it's nearer to my place. (please do tell me if he's one of the capalang vet, i'm new to this and i hope ppl out there can give me some advice)

>jootat
The guy asked me to leave ginger with him and ask me to have a seat because i was holding ginger as i see he's the only one there and he might need my help to hold ginger. But i still can see her thru the shelves.

This is when nightmares begun:

1. When he was shaving her body part, ginger fell down from the grooming table( i don't know what's the exact term for this). And i was like 'wtf?!' (sorry for being rude) i kept silence cz i accept that accidents do happen, maybe ginger was scared and she was trying to jump off that table.

2. The guy stood up suddenly and looking for tissue. I was like 'OMG!! wtf?!!!' again. I walked to the table and i saw ginger's ear oozing blood T____T He hold the tissue at her ear and the just never stops bleeding. I got so pissed and I called my breeder (since she's the one who asked me to come here to groom my dog) He heard the conversation and when i hang up, he said just bring ginger to his vet and he will pay the bill.

3. Followed his car to his vet's place. OMG the place is so creepy, like old fashioned clinic. Don't even have a registration counter, just a table beside the door for registration and a few red plastic chair for waiting. At first the vet said he's gonna stich the wound. I was thrilled and I "WHAT??? STICH????'' then he said ''actually it's not so serious lah, don't want to stich also can. I give you some medicine and i gurantee the wound will recover in 3 days''. He gave me 2 bottles of iodine and gave ginger a jab to stop the bleeding.

[I'm not blackmailing about this shop, but this is what i felt, my feeling after bring my girl there]

My poor girl, out of nothing she fell down from the table, ear injured, butt butt kena poked by needle. I feel so sorry to her for bringing her to the guy for grooming, she must be hating me for all these pain. Furthermore, I think she looks ugly after grooming. Not fluffy and she doesn't look like a happy girl. The guy told me that is the schnauzer cut. But i wonder why the cut looks so ugly on my girl? Until now I still feel very sad lah~ It's a bad experience for ginger too, she might have grooming-fobia next time? cry.gif

Ginger is okay now, back to super duper hyper active condition. rolleyes.gif
She is so in love with apples now. sweat.gif
I accidentally dropped my apple that day then she cepat cepat go and eat.
Now everyday she will look at me with the pity eyes whenever i'm eating apple doh.gif
So i just give her 1 peices everytime i eat.
Just one question, can MS eat apples? I hope it's not harmful to them.

QUOTE(yikhoe @ Sep 21 2009, 11:03 PM)
i can't really say no signs of peeing but a really quick one... This is how it goes:

he plays around as usual... run here and there.

Suddenly stop and sniff one time (takes lesser than a second)

and does his semi-lying down, (from the top it looks like lying (legs all extended) but looking closely, it's just nearly touching the ground, but the fur did touch.) and pees...

really hard to judge when he wants to go...
on another note, i have a poodle (now around 1 year living with in laws) she used to do the spinning around trick...sniff and spin, so it's easier to know...
*
ginger used to be like that when i first got her home. she wil jus run run run and squat suddenly and pee. but now she's toilet trained (still not very consistent, she still pees in the cage when i'm not around)

i leashed her on my room's door knob (so that i can monitor her) and i put the tray on one side and water and toys on the other side. this limits the area she can route and the leash length is just nice to reach the tray and the food and toys. and now she's able to jump into the tray to pee and poo. hehes.
