based on what u say, I can assure you that the MS Gang here WILL NOT WANT TO GO TO PETS ICON lor.

Not my Stephy.

Not my Fatty.

Not my Ally.

I'm sure not Scottie.

Not Kenji.

Or Carrie.

Or even Santa.
...and probably many others.

your pariah groomer can go groom pariahs lah... perhaps u can try some other breeds, but our classy Miniature Schnauzers got the dignity and pride to go to PROFESSIONAL groomers only. I'm sorry that I'm saying this, but seriously, dont mean to smear your 'Pets Icon' name (not that it isnt smeared already by yourself...), but I will seek for willing doggies (sorry, I'm not willin to sacrifice my furkids!) and get their testimonial for Pets Icon.

And then... I will post it up on my BLOG outright and then u can shuddup once and for all!
*
Oh yes, Santa is definitely not going there. Santa has already got a very good groomer in her mummy! For Santa, her mummy is the best groomer!! wub.gif

DESMOND IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD! BETTER THAN CALIFORNIA! BETTER THAN KL!  flex.gif

BUT I SPECIALIZE ONLY IN PARIAH DOGS! ALL PURE BREEDS HAVE ALREADY DEFINED STYLING.
ONLY PARIAH DOGS ARE UNKNOWN SO I DECIDED TO FOCUS ON THIS NICHE MARKET!!!  mad.gif

rolleyes.gif ANYWAYS, we were talking about playing with toys, right? I found an old video of Scottie and Kenji (my sister's Chihuahua) playing tug together:

Good idea (ignore ignore ignore) rclxms.gif

I like the part where Scottie chased Kenji away...do they really fight? One day Santa will be able to play that game with Minnie. Now she plays with me.

Another game that Santa likes is hide-and-seek and I get very tired playing that game with her because she is rather fast turning around and seeking me out sweat.gif

Hahaha...thank you, thank you! smile.gif

Well, Scottie doesn't really chase Kenji away...most of the time when he gets the tug, he will get Kenji to try and grab again from him (by running towards Kenji with the tug...laugh.gif Kind of hard to explain. If I manage to get that on video, I'll post it up again...haha!). But sometimes when Kenji is in a bad mood, he would initiate a fight with Scottie. He would growl at Scottie whenever Scottie goes near...most of the time Scottie stays away, but if they happen to stare at each other long enough (or I'm not fast enough to get either of them distracted) they have a go at each other. laugh.gif So silly right? Small fry like him want to challenge Scottie who's like 2-3 times his size! But I always manage to separate them after a few seconds...put a big pillow between them, problem solved. LOL!

Haha...so cute, Santa playing hide-and-seek! Scottie doesn't like to play running and stuff...after about 2 mins of playing Fetch with the ball in the living room, he will lie down and start panting. hahaha!
*
Well, then I am like Scottie, after a while, I am the one who is panting not Santa. But Santa is rather silly when playing hide and seek. I just have to hide at one same place twice, she will look for me there all the time! Fun but tiring sweat.gif

Oh, Scottie is such a cutie!! Reminds me of Santa when she's a puppy. I thought Santa looks just like Scottie, as a puppy, except for the ears.

By the way, the "fat girl" in the picture is just as cute!! tongue.gif

Audrey, these are pictures of Santa when she was about 8 to 9 weeks old. I think she was kind of small when she first came home.

Awww, they are SOOO cute! Thanks for sharing them with us, Diana...smile.gif Are Santa's ears that way since she was little? Too cute! biggrin.gif Their faces look similar...which is why in the past, Scottie has been mistaken as a girl a lot. heh!
*
No, Audrey, Santa's ears was like slightly folded when she first came home. After a while it was so "upright". At one point, we thought they must be folded and upon advised by some petshop owners we tried to tape those ears down. blush.gif Obviously it didn't work.

Now, when Santa looks up at me, at times I thought she looks like Scottie. Don't know why. Maybe it's her eyes and the colour of her beard. laugh.gif

QUOTE(thedancingsun @ Jun 16 2009, 11:55 AM)
The reason is me I guess.  She's jsut like any normal puppy...one strange thing is that she will not go toilet until I come home....dun know how she holds its for at least 12 hrs!!????  She likes to do it on tiles....and fabric.  Although I tried putting the tray and newspaper nxt to her with her pee stains, she'll refused to do it there.  Once I caught almost poo-ing, shove the tray under her, she stopped, tahan until next morning.  She also do submissive peeing or pee when she gets excited...does that every morning when she sees me and when I come home.

If she's taken out 3x a day, morning, mid noon and evening, well, she wont do it in the hse.  Of course still got  accident.  Last evening took her to the vet, got so excited she peed oredi, but went home still peed again.  Best suited in a home where there are constantly people around her, so she doesn't gets to go crazy excited everytime.  If leave alone for a few hours, she's doesnt get that excitable.

She's qutie hyperactive....will go kinda crazy excited when comes in contact with people...last Sunday took her for a walk after grooming, saw some Mat Sallehs who come say hello and petted her, and she wanted to follow them home...literally running after them.  I would say she's attention-addict.  However, she not demanding, will just sit quietly and look at you with her big big puppy sad eyes until u play with her.  Whines very sadly whenever I go to work!  ALtho tried distracting her with her fav toys and food...doesn't work.  THe minute i'm out of sight....she'll goes...  Hopefully she stops after a while.  Else, I'll get complains from the neighbour.

If you put her in her travelling crate, she will stick her face at the door and look at you...can go on for at least 1.5hrs....before she goes to sleep.  Refused even her most fav - treats!!!

She'll tongue (aka kiss)  and mouth (aka nibble) you...

Loves to have her belly rubbed, while at the same time trying to "bite" you.

Not really interested in toys...

Loves to chew..  But will lose interest in her chewy toys....so got to rotate them.

Easily trained cos highly motivated by food.  Learned sit, down, roll over, stay...now trying to get her to heel on the left side....not much success...cos she likes to walk on the inside...she scares to walk on the outside.  Now learnign to stay before I allow her to eat.  But still got to work on the length of time.  Sometimes still doesn't understand the words until its repeated a few times.

Currently, having ear infection and pus like infection on her belly.  The pus like infection on her belly, was suspected due to her going to the grass on Sun for puppy obedience class...it just spreads overnite...gave me a heartattack.  Went to the vet last nite, gave her antibiotic and inflammatory jabs...n medicines.  She got no problem hving those medicines mixed in her kibbles.  In fact, she'll eat everything...which is why needs to constantly supervise her.  Found her chewing on dry leaves and grass on Sun.  Oso, she found a pcs of broken ceramic somewhere in my living room, luckily got her in time, gave me another heartattack then!!

Taken for daily morning walk....you must brisk walk, else she'll sniff and eats everything and anything.  She's getting use to the leash...hates it and loves bitting it....

From what you have written, you seemed to understand Kimmy very well. That is very good. thumbup.gif And from what you have been doing for her with her ear infection, belly infection, taking her to puppy obedience class and training her, you are a responsible owner indeed!! rclxms.gif

About her peeing problem, did you make a fuss whenever she did it at the wrong place? She may be wanting your attention. Whenever she does it at the wrong place, just quickly clean up the place without much fuss but whenever she does it in the right place, praise her for it or even give her a treat.

I cannot say for other breeds but all miniature schnauzers are like that, they want your attention. Look at the other miniature schnauzers, they do the same to their owners, like following them wherever they go, waiting for them outside the toilet, sitting beside them when they watch TV, etc. (to Audrey and Kerrie, Santa does all those too, like Scottie and Happy). Santa wants to be on my lap whenever I am at the computer and even when I am on the sofa watching TV. They just want to be near us. Isn't that sweet? wub.gif

Do give both of you a chance. If you can't bear to leave Kimmy home alone, maybe arrange with your friend to see if she can help you out since her children love Kimmy too and since Kimmy can get along with her dogs. Leave Kimmy with her when you are at work and take her home after work.

Please do give yourself more time to get Kimmy into your life. You will never regret it but if you do sell her off, you may regret it for the rest of your life and if she gets into the wrong hands, you will have that guilt for the rest of your life.

Frankly, from what you have written, I can tell you understand Kimmy very very well and that is a really good start. Do keep it up!! thumbup.gif If you have any problem, I am sure forummers here are ever so willing to help you. Please do reconsider and do not make anymore wrong decision or impulsive decision. Kimmy's future is in your hands.

I am so sad for Kimmy. cry.gif Hope Kimmy will go to a good home and hope she needn't go through this again. Wish you could have at least give yourself and Kimmy more time to work out but looks like you have your mind made up. Just hope people out there will think carefully before getting that "cute puppy". I'll just pray that Kimmy will get a good home. Hope that is the least you could do for Kimmy too, that is find her a good home and not just sell her to whoever is willing to pay you your cost of RM1.3K. All the best!!

Stephy was frantically searching for her baby this morning - even after we buried the little fella... very poor thing.

Mmm... i guess it was not meant to be.

Nvm... it also means undivided attention for my girls!

Poor Stephy, hope she'll get over it soon. I'm sure she would with both mummy and daddy's loving care.

I was there from 12pm until about 8.30pm for the obedience trials ohmy.gif They started the trials at about 6.30pm (when it was supposed to start at 2pm -___-"). My family was getting very tired and restless, so we left without even me knowing what is Scottie's score...haha! I did ask a friend of mine to help me check, so we'll see how...smile.gif It was quite crowded when I first got there, and yes, like what Eric mentioned....quite a few owners I see just pretended that they didn't notice that their dogs pooped, and just walked off. I saw a lady with a Shih Tzu who did just that...*sigh* No wonder we don't get to go to many places with our furkids...
*
Yes, you are right about "No wonder we don't get to go to many places with our furkids..."

Even those who take their dogs out to poo, I think they should pick up their dogs' poops. I know of a "taman" that quite a number of households have dogs and they take their dogs out to poo and they never pick up after their dogs. So there are "landmines" in the whole neighbourhood!! They are like, you poo at my place, I poo at your place.

This matter can never be resolved because it is not easy to educate people to be responsible pet owners and some of these people are highly educated people!

HI dear all

Kimmy is now currently with my fren and I guess you guys are right, I do miss her.  This is the irony of "I can't live with or without you"?????

I'm still thinking hard if I should or how I can keep her....looking if there are any daycares centres...I don't think Kimmy will do very well on her own for 12 hours a day 5 days a week.  My fren says she cud keep Kimmy but she sure gives me a tongue lashing!!

Here are some of her pics...before and after grooming...I think she looks better before.. tongue.gif

Hi, thedancingsun, thanks for the update. Kimmy looks very well. So glad to see her again. Maybe when both of you are ready for each other, you may get back together again. Hope to hear that one day. wink.gif

Why not consider sending Kimmy to board with Nicholai for week? Maybe he can help you toilet train Kimmy and at the same time teach her some tricks. He's good! thumbup.gif See how he trains Lex? rclxms.gif
