Look for Sanyo Denki (ball bearing) fans (usually made in Japan ones), those rated around 12V 0.13A. Have very good CFM and not noisy at all. wink.gif

Anyway I also have rather noisy fans last time on my 24/7 machines.. those were high power (made in Japan) Panaflos (thinking of selling them off, no longer using). tongue.gif

the quietest fan i can find is enermax everest fan. Max rpm only 1k and min rpm is 500. thermally controlled fan. I am using it now.

Added on April 21, 2009, 7:46 pmit cost a big hole in my pocket. Almost same price as Gelid. I bought it at RM50.

Added on April 21, 2009, 7:46 pmso i buy only one unit. Dare not to buy another.

Added on April 21, 2009, 7:48 pmclaimed to be 8dB-12dB but we all know these figure are fake including any other fan. (only OEM fan spec is more accurate, eg: NMB, delta). I think everest is around 18dB at max. those coolermaster 90cfm, vizo etc is like almost 32db.

Added on April 21, 2009, 7:49 pmit also comes with rubber screws.

hmm, i think i came across 1 or 2 threads selling the panaflos/sanace

MAybe i can suggest sunon too.

im using 4 units of 120mm Coolermaster 90CFM and 3 units of 200x230x25mm; 1 unit of 120mm(dunno the CFM)fans. All coolermaster. The noise produced is quite reasonable and pleasing.

I don't recommend the Suscool. It's thermal controlled and you have to stick the sensor on something that is damn hot (e.g NB) for it to reach it's max RPM which is about 800rpm.

It actually pushes very little air even at max RPM, feels less than the stated CFM, but then again, all these fan specs on db and CFM are bull tongue.gif
