Hi all,

I'm going to get my Wii in 1 week time and i would like to know from Wii user now about what i should test when i buy the unit from the seller. Is there any particular part or feature that i must concentrate on before finally paying for the price? Appreciate any good advice.

Thanks,

Mr Ez

well, try to play a game n see ba .. thats how i tested. try sensor bar , wiimote , nun chunk, game loading, got wii channel or not, and if possible try wifi.

And if you're going to get another pair of wiimote n nun chunk then i suggest u search for the thread where the user posted the fake wiimote n nun chunk. Dun get cheated by buying fake ones with ori price.

Well, if you buy from reputable seller in lowyat forum then it would be better ba. Your choice anyway happy.gif

If it is a Hardware Mod (Mod-Chip) with a on/off switch, online shouldn't be a problem.
Software mod could be more of a problem.

Test the Mii Channel (Something like XBOX Live avatar)
and Photo Channel.

Hi Neogeo,

Some sellers claimed that their software mod can access Mii channel and photo channel. What is the consequences of going online with software mod? The Wii got bricked? Are they trying to con me? Sorry bro but i'm a bit confused.

Ok. Good to hear that can go online to play. I believe cannot upgrade firmware, right? Will the Wii secretly downloading firmware without my knowledge? Is there a way to prevent that?

Thanks

Secretly ? LOL i dont think so , just press No to update firmware if it pops up , but after 4 months or so ... ive been online most of the time on my WII , theres only 2 times pop ups asking me to update firmware , so just select NO to it , and thats it
