don't take that ambank offer. its a disaster. they charge 8.99% X 2 / 24 months upfront

right now i prefer the public bank. at least they charge 5.00% upfront on the first month only (for 24 months repayment period)
anybody knows about affinbank balance transfer rate? its not stated on their website.

The best Balance Transfer is still PB. 2nd to none so far

PB BL might have the best BL around but there is one big (kinda huge actually) obstacle. Anyone having more than 4 credit card have not been known to apply succesfully from PB so far. (anyone manage to get it with even 3? I might be wrong)

It have been discussed in this thread before that PB cc is the hardest to apply. 

If someone hold 6 or more cc from other issuer, PB will straight away reject the person application.
If u apply PB before u have 6 cc from other issuer, chance to approve will be higher. Get this info from one of the PB branch manager.
Anyway PB cc very strict on approval. Myself also have issue with PB cc, the only cc issuer that denied my cc application in my life.

Knowing What is Good Customer Service Satisfaction

When was the last time you had encountered an unforgettable customer service experience?

By skipping all the boring lines with the operator –“I am informing you the status of my credit card. I have applied two month before. ... return me the copies of my personal documents as they had not issued me ...”

I recently submitted a YOUNIQUE card (a cc that allow you to personalized your own credit card benefits & design!) application through Alliance Bank – You:nique website.

And guess what, Alliance Bank customer service actually called me personally to inform me that my approval took longer than usual because the submitted design was ‘cover-up’ the standard requirement “BIN number” as well as the “Valid Thru”… & now finally they got clearance from MasterCard to proceed as usual.

Most importantly I was told that I will getting my You:nique card in 3 day times via Pos Malaysia!!! Wooohooo!!!!

Seriously! First class customer service with fantastic credit card!!

It's only my hobby collecting cc, I m not a cc approval proffesional anyway. PBB denied my cc application recently,it's the only issuer that denied my cc application in my life.
But I can share my experiance to u and hope it helps.
Look for CIMB,Ambank,MBF,UOB,RHB,SCB. They r deperate to expend their cc members volume nowadays. Mayb it's more ezy to get approval from them.
Citi,HSBC,MBB has stricter cc policy compare to other issuers, they usually target on other issuer's cc holders for longer vintage of membership.
I hav no problem with Alliance Bank,1st time application already approved. The CL given also surprised me,it's higher than the cc I used to pledge the application.
cc approval sometimes depend on ur luck,it's hard to judge which issuer ezy to approve ur application.
However,keep good repayment record is the most important thing for cc. It'll affect ur future cc applications.

U mean Citibank or Maybank simply upgrade cc? For my experience, i phone MBB CS and ask them to upgrade my classic to gold, but they don't want.

By the way, the combination of Petronas and AMEX is awsome point collection, u get 5x point from Petronas VISA and 2x point from AMEX and both can calculate together.

Any AmBank credit card user here?

Last week i heard from the promoter from Ambank that Am Bank credit card is offering Petrol 5% rebate promotion.. is that true? she said those existing member already got the brochure already. but from the application form.. i did not see anything about this.

This is the AMEX rule, if a year can use more than RM4K in your card, then will consider worth lor, otherwise better don't activate this options. 2x Treatpoint better.

The MBB Fair will be held around June-July this year, Mid Valley, but the actual date i have no idea. Maybe you can check their website around end of May, should got 1.

I saw a Maybank at 1st floor of High Street of 1U, you will see it if you take the escallator up to 1st floor, not sure is that the one you looking for.

I applied for PBB credit card recently, and specified to have the VISA type, but was given the Mastercard type instead, is it possible to request another card under VISA?

I bought item over YesAsia site in USD, and get the points equivalent to RM.. so, i think MBB gives points for overseas transanction..

No ! No such thing. The closest you could get to cash rebate is the Alliance Bank Cash Back cc (up to 2.0% for Plat card, capped @ RM5K per month spendings) and SCB Business Platinum. (0.5%) CIMB definately does not have rebate or double points for overseas purchases.

..ya ya, sure got TnC; if i'm not mistaken,

- need to SMS
- in block of RM50 and RM100 for petrol and groceries respectively
- they're giving away RM100,000 worth of rebates only per month, meaning first come, first serve
-each cardmember can get only RM50 max per month
-AmBank True and Insurance, and supp card not eligible
..if like this, come every first Weds of the month for 4 months (May to Aug), i will charge RM150 to fill up petrol and another RM350 for groceries, then my quota of the month habis already.. and i'll use AMEX after that for the 8X points...

i'll do the same... i already pump full using my AMEX last sunday.....hmmm...tank still full for this Wednesday...haih

if u have an account with cimb, i think u can see account summary n from there u shud see ur CC acc statement...there's a button to make payment IINM..
