Hi,
I'd like to check on the latest rebates of credit cards. Will apply if there are better alternatives to the ones I am using currently.

I have CIMB Master, UOB One Card, HSBC.
I get 0.5% rebate for CIMB and 0.3% rebate for UOB. I am thinking of canceling the UOB card and apply a new card.
Please share with me the other types of rebate cards you know of.
Thank you.

Pretty neat, but perused through the t&c, so for those of u who are too lazy to read it :-

- You actually continue to earn points as usual on top of the rebate
- 10% wednesday, every other day 5%
- Limited to RM50 per month
- Further limited to a max pool of RM100,000. i.e Ambank as a whole will only payout RM100,000 rebates per month.

So if too many ppl sign up for this, well, you just get less =p

It's ok if not too many ppl are rushing for this though. Not too sure what's the figure like on total AmBank users

I read that this promo is until 31 Aug. What happens after that? Will the rebate% drop?

HSBC Amanah credit card will also give you 0.5% rebate instead of accumulating points. For their Platinum VISA, you will get 1% rebate for all overseas transaction.
Thanks. I remember asking HSBC CS if they have a rebate card but they said don't have. Anyway, since it's also 0.5% rebate, there's really no incentive to apply since I already have CIMB 0.5% rebate.
I'd be interested though if there are other cards with rebates of 1% and above.

I kept on reading CIMB got 0.5%, which one CIMB or DA cards ? And how does their rebate system works ?

CIMB Petronas Master Card.
The rebates are 0.5% of the amount you charge to your card. This rebate will appear in your monthly statement to reduce the balance you need to pay. Sometimes buying from certain retailers will give you more rebates. For example, on every first Sunday of the month, if you spend at MPH, you will get 10% rebate instead of the normal 0.5% rebate.

And this card is free for life. No conditions attached.

No credit card in Malaysia is giving 1% cash rebate. The rebate for credit card in Malaysia is between 0.3% - 0.7% only.
If i'm not mistaken, CIMB Islamic Mastercard will also give you 0.5% rebate instead of point.

May I know which card is giving 0.7% rebate?

Hi, does anyone here knows actually how does a bank waive ur cc annual fee?

I heard tat from my dad bout the waiving of annual fee. But it depends on the individuals. So, just wondering if there's anyway or reasons that i can use to waive the cc's annual fee? Like maybe swipping the card a few times in a year?

My dad's OCBC Platinum card is being charged around RM600 if im not mistaken, and i just got a supp from it. So, i'm just thinking is there any way for me to reduce the annual fee.

I've never had OCBC platinum or any supplementary card before. But here's how I get my annual fees waived on my cards last time before I had any "free for life" card.

Call the card center. Pretend to be angry and tell the CS in an angry tone. "I want to cancel your card!". CS asks you why, you say cos you don't want to be charged an annual fee. You don't want to pay for something that other banks are giving for free. Other banks giving free annual fee. So you will bring your business to other banks. Usually, the CS will tell you they will waive or cancel the annual fee.

If I am not mistaken, HSBC Plat requires the highest income eligibility (RM150k per annum) among all platinum cards in Malaysia.

You can’t accumulate Bonuslink points at Petronas. Petronas has its own Mesra card. Points required for gift redemption in Mesra are lower than Bonuslink. You can accumulate both MBB cc and Mesra points at Petronas. Among all the petrol stations, only Shell affiliates with Bonuslink.

In terms of cash rebate for all purchases + reward points + unlimited promotion period, Alliance and SCB Titanium, in my opinion, could be a better choice at this point in time.

Edit: Nvm. I found it. Thanks.
